Sinta Afriani, - (2025) EKSPLORASI PENGALAMAN SISWA MENGGUNAKAN MODEL OPEN ENDED QUESTION DALAM MENGEMBANGKAN KEMAMPUAN BERPIKIR KREATIF PADA PEMBELAJARAN IPAS DI SD. S1 thesis, Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia.
Abstract
This research aims to explore students' experiences in using the open-ended question model to develop creative thinking skills in science and science learning in elementary schools. Creative thinking is an essential skill in 21st century education, especially in science and science learning which combines the concepts of Natural Sciences (IPA) and Social Sciences (IPS). However, there are still many students who are less active and creative in answering questions during learning. Therefore, the open-ended question model is applied to encourage students to develop diverse ideas and increase fluency, flexibility, originality and elaboration in creative thinking. This research uses a qualitative approach with the narrative inquiry method. Data was collected through interviews, observation, documentation and field notes during the learning process. The research subjects were fourth grade students at SD Negeri Serang 20. The results showed that the application of the open-ended question model had a positive impact on the development of students' creative thinking. Students are more active in asking questions, providing varied answers, and showing improvements in critical thinking and problem solving. Apart from that, open-ended question-based learning strategies combined with direct practice and discussion can increase student participation and motivation in science learning.
