Abstract
ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan media audiovisual melalui film animasi "Pada Zaman Dahulu" dengan pendekatan EMRED (Emmersion, Modelling, Repetition, Exploration, and Demonstration) terhadap peningkatan kemampuan menyimak siswa kelas V SDN Peninggilan 2 Tangerang. Permasalahan yang melatarbelakangi penelitian ini adalah kurangnya perhatian dan minat siswa dalam pembelajaran menyimak karena metode pengajaran yang monoton, sehingga berdampak pada rendahnya kemampuan menyimak siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuasi-eksperimen dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Sampel penelitian terdiri dari 40 siswa kelas V, yang terbagi dalam dua kelompok: kelas eksperimen (20 siswa) yang diberikan pembelajaran menggunakan film animasi "Pada Zaman Dahulu" dan kelas kontrol (20 siswa) yang menggunakan metode konvensional. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui pre-test dan post-test, serta observasi selama proses pembelajaran. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa proses penggunaan media audiovisual melalui film animasi "Pada Zaman Dahulu" dengan pendekatan EMRED dapat meningkatkan kemampuan menyimak siswa secara signifikan. Hasil uji independent sample t-test menunjukkan nilai signifikansi 0,000 < 0,05, yang mengindikasikan adanya perbedaan signifikan antara rata-rata hasil post-test kelas eksperimen dan kontrol. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan pada kelas eksperimen memberikan dampak positif yang lebih besar dibandingkan metode konvensional. ABSTRACT This study aims to determine the effect of using audiovisual media through the animated film "Pada Zaman Dahulu" with the EMRED approach (Emmersion, Modeling, Repetition, Exploration, and Demonstration) on improving listening ability of grade V students of SDN Peninggilan 2 Tangerang. The problem underlying this study is the lack of attention and interest of students in listening learning due to monotonous teaching methods, which has an impact on students' low listening ability. This study uses a quasi-experimental method with a quantitative approach. The research sample consisted of 40 fifth grade students, divided into two groups: the experimental class (20 students) who were given learning using the animated film "Pada Zaman Dahulu" and the control class (20 students) who used conventional methods. Data collection was carried out through pre-test and post-test, as well as observation during the learning process. The results of the study showed that the process of using audiovisual media through the animated film "Pada Zaman Dahulu" with the EMRED approach can significantly improve students' listening skills. The results of the independent sample t-test showed a significance value of 0.000 <0.05, which indicated a significant difference between the average post-test results of the experimental and control classes. This shows that the treatment in the experimental class has a greater positive impact than the conventional method.
