Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji implementasi program outbound dalam membentuk karakter percaya diri siswa kelas 4 SD Peradaban. Pendidikan karakter menjadi salah satu aspek penting dalam sistem pendidikan nasional, terutama dalam membentuk kepribadian siswa yang mandiri, berani, dan percaya diri. Program outbound sebagai metode pembelajaran berbasis pengalaman (experiential learning) dinilai mampu memberikan pengalaman langsung yang dapat meningkatkan rasa percaya diri siswa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus yang dilaksanakan di SD Peradaban dengan melibatkan 5 siswa kelas 4 sebagai data primer, dan 3 guru sebagai data sekunder. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan studi dokumentasi terhadap siswa, guru, serta pihak sekolah yang terlibat dalam pelaksanaan program outbound. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa program outbound memberikan dampak positif terhadap perkembangan karakter percaya diri siswa. Melalui kegiatan High impact, life skill, fun games, kepramukaan, dan farming, siswa lebih berani dalam mengambil keputusan, mengungkapkan pendapat, paham akan tanggung jawab, serta bekerja sama dengan teman-temannya. Selain itu, ditemukan bahwa faktor lingkungan dan dukungan dari tenaga pendidik berperan penting dalam optimalisasi program ini. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah bahwa program outbound dapat menjadi salah satu metode efektif dalam meningkatkan karakter percaya diri siswa di sekolah dasar. Implikasi dari hasil penelitian ini dapat menjadi dasar bagi sekolah-sekolah lain dalam menerapkan metode pembelajaran yang lebih inovatif untuk mengembangkan karakter siswa secara holistik. This research aims to examine the implementation of the outbound program in forming the confident character of 4th grade students at SD Peradaban. Character education is an important aspect in the national education system, especially in forming students' personalities who are independent, brave and confident. The outbound program as an experience-based learning method (experiential learning) is considered capable of providing direct experience that can increase students' self-confidence. The research method used was a qualitative approach with a case study method carried out at SD Peradaban involving 5 grade 4 students as primary data, and 3 teachers as secondary data. Data was collected through observation, interviews and documentation studies of students, teachers and schools involved in implementing the outbound program. The research results show that the outbound program has a positive impact on the development of students' self-confident character. Through high impact activities, life skills, fun games, scouting, and farming, students are braver in making decisions, expressing opinions, understanding responsibility, and working together with their friends. In addition, it was found that environmental factors and support from teaching staff played an important role in optimizing this program. The conclusion of this research is that the outbound program can be an effective method in increasing the self-confident character of students in elementary schools. The implications of the results of this research can be a basis for other schools in implementing more innovative learning methods to develop student character holistically.
