    Abstract

    Menurut hasil PISA 2018, siswa Indonesia berada pada kuadran low performance dengan high quality dan menunjukkan kemampuan berpikir kritis yang rendah, terutama dalam menyelesaikan soal berpikir yang kompleks. Keadaan ini menyoroti kebutuhan untuk meningkatkan standar pendidikan, khususnya di sekolah dasar. Sejumlah penelitian telah dilakukan untuk mengatasi masalah ini, salah satu strategi yang berhasil menggunakan model Problem Based Learning (PBL). Model ini mendorong pengembangan kemampuan berpikir kritis pada siswa dengan memecahkan masalah yang memerlukan analisis mendalam. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengkaji bagaimana pendekatan Problem Based Learning memengaruhi kinerja siswa dalam pembelajaran Pendidikan Pancasila di SDN Sepang. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah quasi experiment dengan populasi seluruh siswa kelas 4 SDN Sepang, di mana kelas 4A sebagai kelas eksperimen sedangkan kelas 4B sebagai kelas kontrol. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan instrument tes uraian melalui pretest dan posttest. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa model Problem Based Learning yang diterapkan di kelas eksperimen lebih besar dari kelas kontrol yang menggunakan metode konvensional. Kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa yang menggunakan model Problem Based Learning memperoleh nilai rata-rata 78,00%, sedangkan siswa yang menggunakan metode konvensional memperoleh rata-rata 70,13%. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa model Problem Based Learning dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa dan bermanfaat bagi proses pembelajaran di sekolah dasar. According to the results of PISA 2018, Indonesian students are in the low performance quadrant with high quality and show low critical thinking skills, especially in solving complex thinking problems. This circumstance highlights the need to improve educational standards, especially in primary schools. A number of studies have been conducted to overcome this problem, one of the successful strategies using the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model. This Model encourages the development of critical thinking skills in students by solving problems that require in-depth analysis. The purpose of this study was to examine how The Problem-Based Learning approach affects student performance in learning Pancasila education in SDN Sepang. The research method used is quasi experiment with the population of all students of Grade 4 SDN Sepang, where Class 4A as an experimental class while Class 4B as a control class. Data collection techniques using test instruments description through pretest and posttest. The results of data analysis showed that The Problem-Based Learning model applied in the experimental class is larger than the control class using conventional methods. Critical thinking ability of students who use Problem Based Learning model obtained an average score of 78,00%, while students who use conventional methods obtained an average of 70,13%. This study shows that The Problem Based Learning model can improve students ' critical thinking skills and benefit the learning process in elementary school.
