Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh kecerdasan emosional dan gaya hidup hedonisme terhadap perilaku keuangan mahasiswa Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode deskriptif verifikatif. Sampel penelitian terdiri dari 383 mahasiswa Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia angkatan 2020. Metode pengambilan sampel dengan Teknik proportionate stratified random sampling. Data dalam penelitian ini adalah data primer berupa jawaban responden yang dikumpulkan dengan menyebarkan kuisioner. Hasil analisis deskriptif menunjukkan bahwa kecerdasan emosional, gaya hidup hedonisme, dan perilaku keuangan mahasiswa Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI) berada pada kriteria sedang. Hasil pengujian keberartian model regresi menunjukkan bahwa model regresi memiliki keberartian sehingga dapat digunakan untuk mengambil kesimpulan. Hasil pengujian hipotesis menunjukkan bahwa kecerdasan emosional berpengaruh posited terhadap perilaku keuangan, sedangkan untuk gaya hidup hedonisme tidak berpengaruh terhadap perilaku keuangan. This study aims to determine the effect of emotional intelligence and hedonistic lifestyle on the financial behavior of students at the Indonesian Education University. This study is a quantitative study with a descriptive verification method. The research sample consisted of 383 students of the 2020 class of the Indonesian Education University. The sampling method used the proportionate stratified random sampling technique. The data in this study are primary data in the form of respondent answers collected by distributing questionnaires. The results of the descriptive analysis show that emotional intelligence, hedonistic lifestyle, and financial behavior of students at the Indonesian Education University (UPI) are in the moderate criteria. The results of the significance test of the regression model show that the regression model has significance so that it can be used to draw conclusions. The results of the hypothesis test show that emotional intelligence has a positive effect on financial behavior, while the hedonistic lifestyle does not affect financial behavior.
