Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji efektivitas penerapan Liveworksheets bermuatan Inquiry dalam meningkatkan keterampilan komunikasi tulisan siswa pada pembelajaran biologi, khususnya materi sistem pernapasan. Keterampilan komunikasi tulisan yang diukur meliputi kejelasan, pengembangan konten, ketepatan, dan organisasi struktur tulisan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuasi eksperimen dengan desain penelitian one-group post-test only. Sampel penelitian terdiri atas siswa kelas XI di salah satu sekolah menengah atas yang dipilih secara purposive. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan Liveworksheets bermuatan Inquiry mampu meningkatkan keterampilan komunikasi tulisan siswa pada materi sistem pernapasan manusia. Peningkatan terlihat pada setiap pertemuan, dengan rata-rata persentase peningkatan tertinggi pada indikator kejelasan tentang argumen siswa terhadap faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi sistem pernapasan manusia (82,20%) dan ketepatan argumen siswa dalam menyatakan istilah ilmiah yang berkaitan dengan organ dan mekanisme pada sistem pernapasan manusia (78,60%). Liveworksheets sebagai media interaktif berbasis Inquiry memungkinkan siswa untuk terlibat aktif dalam proses pembelajaran, mengembangkan argumen tertulis, serta menjelaskan konsep biologi dengan lebih terstruktur. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa Liveworksheets bermuatan Inquiry efektif sebagai media pembelajaran yang mendukung pengembangan keterampilan komunikasi tulisan siswa. Media ini juga dapat digunakan untuk mendorong keterampilan literasi akademik siswa dalam menghadapi tantangan pendidikan abad ke-21. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan penerapan lebih luas Liveworksheets dalam berbagai topik pembelajaran serta pengembangan rubrik penilaian yang lebih spesifik untuk menilai komunikasi tulisan siswa.

This study aims to examine the effectiveness of the application of Inquiry-based Liveworksheets in improving students' written communication skills in learning biology, especially the material of the respiratory system. The measured written communication skills include clarity, content development, accuracy, and organization of writing structure. This research used a quasi-experimental method with a one-group post-test-only research design. The research sample consisted of 11th-grade students in one of the purposively selected high schools. The results showed that the application of Inquiry-laden live worksheets was able to improve students' written communication skills. The improvement was seen in each meeting, with the highest average percentage increase in the indicators of clarity (82.20%) and accuracy (78.60%). Liveworksheets, as Inquiry-based interactive media, allow students to be actively involved in the learning process, develop written arguments, and explain biology concepts in a more structured manner. This study concludes that Inquiry-based Liveworksheets are effective as a learning medium that supports the development of students' written communication skills. This media can also be used to encourage students' academic literacy skills in facing the challenges of 21st- century education. This study recommends the wider application of Liveworksheets in various learning topics as well as the development of more specific assessment rubrics to assess students' written communication.
