Abstract
Prokrastinasi pada peserta didik dapat mengganggu kelancaran proses pembelajaran dan menurunkan fokus individu. Pada zaman teknologi, peserta didik umum menggunakan gawai dalam kehidupan sehari-hari sehingga dapat memicu perilaku prokrastinasi akademik. Self awareness menjadi salah satu faktor yang memengaruhi terjadi nya perilaku prokrastinasi pada peserta didik. Penelitian bertujuan untuk memahami hubungan antara perilaku prokrastinasi dan self awareness pada peserta didik pengguna gawai. Menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode deskriptif dan studi korelasional, penelitian dilakukan di SMA Pasundan 2 Kota Bandung dengan melibatkan 268 peserta didik Kelas XI tahun ajaran 2024/2025. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah kuesioner tertutup berbasis Skala Likert. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan, tingkat perilaku prokrastinasi berada dalam kategori sedang dengan skor median 3, sementara kemampuan self awareness berada dalam kategori tinggi dengan skor median 4. Terdapat hubungan positif antara perilaku prokrastinasi dengan self awareness dan hasil uji korelasi menunjukkan hubungan signifikan yang lemah antara kedua variabel. Bagi peneliti selanjutnya diharapkan dapat memperluas sampel pada seluruh jenjang guna melengkapi kekurangan penelitian yang telah ada.
Procrastination in learners can disrupt the smooth learning process and reduce individual focus. In the age of technology, learners commonly use gadgets in their daily lives, which can trigger academic procrastination behavior. Self awareness is one of the factors that influence the occurrence of procrastination behavior in students. The study aims to understand the relationship between procrastination behavior and self awareness in learners who use gadgets. Using a quantitative approach with descriptive methods and correlational studies, the research was conducted at Pasundan 2 High School in Bandung City involving 268 Class XI students in the 2024/2025 school year. The instrument used was a Likert Scalebased closed questionnaire. The results showed that the level of procrastination behavior was in the moderate category with a median score of 3, while the ability of self awareness was in the high category with a median score of 4. There is a positive relationship between procrastination behavior and self awareness and the correlation test results show a weak significant relationship between the two variables. Future researchers are expected to expand the sample at all levels to complement the shortcomings of existing research.
