Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan desain pembelajaran berbasis proyek Insektarium guna meningkatkan literasi sains anak usia dini di Taman Kanak-Kanak Riyadhul Jannah, Subang. Permasalahan yang diidentifikasi adalah rendahnya pemahaman anak-anak usia dini terhadap konsep sains dasar, khususnya terkait serangga dan ekosistemnya. Penelitian ini menggunakan model pengembangan ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). Tahap analisis dilakukan untuk mengidentifikasi kebutuhan pembelajaran di lapangan, diikuti dengan perancangan dan pengembangan desain pembelajaran berbasis proyek Insektarium. Pada tahap implementasi, desain pembelajaran diuji coba pada anak-anak usia 5-6 tahun melalui kegiatan observasi serangga langsung, pembuatan insektarium, dan diskusi tentang peran serangga dalam ekosistem. Evaluasi dilakukan untuk mengukur efektivitas desain dalam meningkatkan keterampilan observasi, pemahaman ilmiah dasar, dan kesadaran ekologis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa desain pembelajaran ini efektif dalam meningkatkan literasi sains anak usia dini. Validasi ahli dan praktisi memberikan skor kelayakan tinggi terhadap desain dan alat bantu pembelajaran yang dikembangkan. Implementasi di kelas menunjukkan respon positif dari anak, guru, dan orang tua.Penelitian ini merekomendasikan penerapan desain pembelajaran berbasis proyek Insektarium sebagai salah satu strategi inovatif untuk meningkatkan literasi sains anak usia dini, khususnya di lembaga pendidikan berbasis Kurikulum Merdeka. This research aims to develop an Insectarium project-based learning design to improve early childhood science literacy at Riyadhul Jannah Kindergarten, Subang. The problem identified is the low understanding of early childhood concepts of basic science, especially related to insects and their ecosystems. This study uses the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) development model. The analysis stage is carried out to identify learning needs in the field, followed by the design and development of the Insectarium project-based learning design. In the implementation stage, the learning design was tested on children aged 5-6 years through direct insect observation activities, the creation of an insectarian, and discussions about the role of insects in the ecosystem. The evaluation was conducted to measure the effectiveness of the design in improving observation skills, basic scientific understanding, and ecological awareness. The results of the study show that this learning design is effective in improving early childhood science literacy. Expert and practitioner validation provides a high feasibility score for the design and learning tools developed. Implementation in the classroom showed positive responses from children, teachers, and parents. This study recommends the application of Insectarium project-based learning design as one of the innovative strategies to improve early childhood science literacy, especially in educational institutions based on the Independent Curriculum.
