Abstract
Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh punahnya 39 kesenian tradisional di Jawa Barat. Namun, di Desa Gajah Mekar masih terdapat kesenian tradisional yang mampu bertahan sampai saat ini dan masih diminati oleh masyarakat yaitu kesenian hadrah. Salah satu kesenian hadrah yang mampu bertahan sampai saat ini di Desa Gajah Mekar yaitu Hadrah Al-Hidayah. Hal ini disebabkan adanya upaya pelestarian oleh majelis taklim. Oleh karena itu tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mendeskripsikan data mengenai upaya pelestarian kesenian hadrah di Majelis Taklim Al-Hidayah, fungsi majelis taklim bagi anggota Hadrah Al-Hidayah, dan faktor pemuda berminat menjadi anggota Hadrah Al-Hidayah. Teori yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu teori pelestarian, konsep majelis taklim, dan teori minat. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode penelitian deskriptif. Partisipan dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 4 orang yaitu ketua hadrah, pimpinan majelis taklim, dan dua orang anggota hadrah. Dari hasil penelitian ditemukan bahwa upaya pelestarian kesenian hadrah di Majelis Taklim Al-Hidayah dilakukan melalui pembuatan aturan, pembuatan tupoksi, latihan rutin, menjaga dan memperbarui alat musik, menambah lagu-lagu shalawat baru, membuat seragam, membuat akun media sosial, serta penampilan rutin di majelis taklim dan di masyarakat. Adapun fungsi majelis taklim bagi anggota Hadrah Al-Hidayah adalah sebagai tempat kegiatan belajar, lembaga keterampilan, wadah berkegiatan dan berkreativitas, tempat pembinaan dan pendidikan karakter, serta wadah mempererat silaturahmi. Sementara faktor pemuda berminat menjadi anggota hadrah AlHidayah adalah faktor kebutuhan akan sebuah keterampilan, keingintahuan kepada kesenian hadrah, dan termotivasi karena terkenalnya Hadrah Al-Hidayah serta dorongan dari orang terdekat seperti dari keluarga, teman sebaya, dan faktor lingkungan majelis taklim yang menyediakan sarana bagi pemuda untuk mengembangkan bakat dan melestarikan kesenian hadrah. This research is motivated by the extinction of 39 traditional arts in West Java. However, in Gajah Mekar Village there are still traditional arts that have survived until now and are still in demand by the community, namely hadrah art. One of the hadrah arts that has survived until now in Gajah Mekar Village is Hadrah Al-Hidayah. This is due to the preservation efforts by the taklim assembly. Therefore, the purpose of the study is to describe data regarding the preservation efforts of hadrah art in the Al-Hidayah Taklim Assembly, the function of the taklim assembly for members of Hadrah Al-Hidayah, and the factors that cause young people to be interested in becoming members of Hadrah AlHidayah. The theories used in this study are the preservation theory, the concept of the taklim assembly, and the theory of interest. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive research method. Participants in this study were 4 people, namely the head of the hadrah, the leader of the taklim assembly, and two members of the hadrah. From the results of the study, it was found that efforts to preserve the art of hadrah in the Al-Hidayah Taklim Assembly were carried out through making rules, making duties and functions, regular practice, maintaining and updating musical instruments, adding new shalawat songs, making uniforms, creating social media accounts, and regular appearances in the taklim assembly and in the community. The function of the taklim assembly for members of Hadrah Al-Hidayah is as a place for learning activities, a skills institution, a place for activities and creativity, a place for character development and education, and a place to strengthen friendship. Meanwhile, the factors that make young people interested in becoming members of Hadrah Al-Hidayah are the need for skills, curiosity about the art of hadrah, and being motivated by the popularity of Hadrah Al-Hidayah and encouragement from people closest to them such as family, peers, and the environmental factors of the taklim assembly which provide facilities for young people to develop talents and preserve the art of hadrah.
