Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini membahas proses morfologis istilah medis bahasa Indonesia. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengkaji proses pembentukan dan bentuk istilah medis bahasa Indonesia, juga sumber bahasa yang digunakan pada istilah medis bahasa Indonesia. Penelitian ini dilakukan karena ditemukannya fenomena masyarakat umum yang menggunakan istilah berdampingan dengan bahasa sehari-hari, terutama saat dan setelah masa pandemi covid-19. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan mengambil data dari laman Halodoc. Istilah medis kemudian dianalisis proses pembentukan, jenis pembentukannya, dan sumber bahasa yang digunakan lalu dipaparkan secara deskriptif. Penelitian ini menghasilkan temuan bahwa dari 1492 istilah medis bahasa Indonesia, terdapat 558 data yang mengalami pembentukan morfologis. Pembentukan didominasi dengan pembentukan komposisi (pemajemukan) dengan total data sebanyak 227 istilah dan afiksasi sebanyak 203 istilah. Sumber bahasa istilah medis paling banyak ditemukan dari bahasa Yunani sebanyak 30,5% dan bahasa Indonesia sebanyak 19,7%. Melalui penelitian ini, diharapkan dapat memberikan kontribusi pada pemahaman di bidang morfologi bahasa Indonesia, terutama pada pembentukan istilah yang berkaitan dengan medis. Kata kunci: Halodoc; istilah medis; morfologis; pembentukan; sumber bahasa. ABSTRACT This research examines the morphological processes of Indonesian medical terms. The purpose of this study is to determine the formation processes and forms of Indonesian medical terms, also the language sources used in Indonesian medical terms. This research was undertaken to examine the phenomenon of the general public’s integration of specific terminology into everyday language, particulary in the context of the covid-19 pandemic and its aftermath. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative by taking data from the Halodoc page. The medical terms were subsequently analyzed to determine the formation process, the type of formation, and their linguistic origin, followed by a comprehensive descriptive presentation. This study found that out of 1492 Indonesian medical terms, there were 558 data that experienced morphological formation. The composition (compounding) is the predominant method of formation, accounting for a total of 227 terms, while affixation comprises 203 terms. The etymology of medical terminology is predominantly derived from Greek, accounting for approximately 30.5% of the terms, while Indonesian contributes around 19.7%. This study is expected to contribute to the understanding in the field of Indonesian morphology, particularly in the formation of medical terms.
