Abstract
Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kasus permasalahan seorang siswa kelas 1 SD tempat peneliti latihan mengajar yang mengalami kesulitan dalam berkomunikasi, sulit mengekspresikan apa yang dirasa, dan sulit mengungkapkan perasaan dalam bentuk lisan. Latihan membaca lantang sudah terbukti dapat membantu merangsang kelancaran berbicara, merangsang ketepatan dalam menguncapkan kata, dan menambah kosa kata. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk menggambarkan proses latihan membaca lantang yang diterapkan pada anak speech delay dan mendeskripsikan dampak yang dialami oleh siswa dari latihan tersebut. Jenis penelitian yang dilakukan yaitu studi kasus dengan subjek penelitian seorang anak berusia 7 tahun. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Untuk mengetahui keabsahan data pada penelitian ini, menggunakan teknik validasi datamenggunakan member check kepada guru dan orang tua siswa. Hasil dari penelitian membaca lantang yaitu adanya perubahan keterampilan siswa dalam melafadzkan bunyi “L” di setiap kata sehingga siswa lebih mudah dalam memahami isi bacaan. Adapun dampak perubahan dari latihan membaca lantang anak mampu mengucapkan dengan benar huruf “L” pada kata “dalam”. Dan memperkaya kosa kata pada anak. This research was motivated by the case of a 1st grade elementary school student where the researcher practiced teaching who had difficulty communicating, difficulty expressing what he felt, and difficulty expressing feelings in oral form. Reading aloud practice has been proven to help stimulate fluency in speaking, stimulate accuracy in wording, and increase vocabulary. The purpose of this study is to describe the process of reading aloud practice applied to children with speech delay and describe the impact experienced by students from the exercise. The type of research conducted is a case study with the research subject of a 7-year-old child. The data collection techniques used are observation, interviews, and documentation. To determine the validity of the data in this study, a data validation technique was used using member checks to teachers and parents of students. The result of the reading aloud research is that there is a change in students' skills in pronouncing the "L" sound in each word so that students can more easily understand the content of the reading. The impact of the change from the practice of reading aloud children are able to pronounce correctly the letter "L" in the word "in". And enrich the vocabulary of children.
