Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan menghasilkan strategi bimbingan karier konstruktivis untuk mengembangkan transferable skills mahasiswa. Strategi bimbingan karier konstruktivis dikembangkan berdasarkan pada filosofi postmodernisme dan teori konstruktivis. Educational design research yang meliputi tiga tahapan utama, yaitu: tahap preliminary, tahap pengembangan, dan tahap pengujian menjadi desain utama penelitian ini. Profil transferable skills mahasiswa berdasarkan hasil penelitian adalah mahasiswa telah menguasai kecakapan pada level skilled dalam tujuh indikator transferable skills (berpikir kritis, pemecahan masalah, regulasi diri, evaluasi diri positif, komunikasi, kolaborasi, dan menghargai keragaman), dan level somewhat skilled pada indikator kreativitas. Ditemukan konfigurasi transferable skills yang berbeda antara mahasiswa, dosen, dan karyawan. Melalui uji rasional, uji keterlaksanaan, dan uji coba lapangan dihasilkan strategi bimbingan karier konstruktivis yang fisibel untuk mengembangan transferable skills mahasiswa. Strategi bimbingan karier konstruktivis terdiri atas sembilan komponen yaitu definisi, rasional, tujuan, sasaran, metode, kualifikasi dan fungsi pembimbing, tahapan, langkah-langkah, dan evaluasi. Hasil penelitian ini merupakan inovasi dalam bimbingan karier di perguruan tinggi yang mengkombinasikan teori karier konstruktivis dan teori belajar konstruktivis. Hasil penelitian ini berkontribusi pada pengembangan keilmuan Bimbingan dan Konseling, dan membuka ruang bagi eksplorasi bimbingan karier konstruktivis dalam berbagai konteks yang lebih luas, dan eksplorasi elemen-elemen tambahan dalam pengembangan transferable skills mahasiswa. This study aims to develop a constructivist career guidance strategy to enhance students’ transferable skills. The constructivist career guidance strategy is developed based on the philosophy of postmodernism and constructivist theory. This study uses educational design research, which includes three main stages: preliminary, development, and testing. The profile of student transferable skills based on the results of the study is that students have mastered proficiency at the skilled level in seven transferable skills indicators (critical thinking, problem- solving, self-regulation, positive self-evaluation, communication, collaboration, and appreciating diversity), and somewhat skilled levels in creativity indicators. It was found that different configurations of transferable skills were found between students, lecturers, and employees. Through rational tests, feasibility tests, and field trials, a feasible constructivist career guidance strategy is produced to develop students’ transferable skills. The constructivist career guidance strategy comprises nine components: definition, rationality, goals, objectives, methods, qualifications and supervisory functions, stages, steps, and evaluation. The results of this research are an innovation in career guidance in higher education that combines career theory and constructivist learning theory. The results of this research contribute to the development of the science of Guidance and Counseling and open up space for exploring constructivist career guidance in various broader contexts and exploring additional elements in developing student transferable skills.
