Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi sejauh mana pengaruh penggunaan video interaktif dalam meningkatkan pemahaman siswa kelas V SDN Sepang tentang keanekaragaman flora dan fauna di wilayah Indonesia. Permasalahan yang melatarbelakangi penelitian ini adalah rendahnya tingkat pemahaman siswa terhadap materi keanekaragaman hayati, yang disebabkan oleh tingkat pemanfaatan internet, metode pembelajaran konvensional yang kurang menarik dan keterbatasan dalam mengobservasi flora dan fauna secara langsung. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode quasi experimental design dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Sampel penelitian terdiri dari 41 siswa kelas V yang terbagi dalam dua kelompok: kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol dengan populasi total 81 siswa. Kelas eksperimen diberikan pembelajaran menggunakan video interaktif, sementara kelas kontrol menggunakan metode konvensional. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui pre-test dan post-test, observasi, serta studi dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan pada pemahaman siswa yang menggunakan video interaktif. Nilai rata-rata post-test kelas eksperimen mencapai 8,4 yang pada pre test memperoleh hasil rata-rata 4,4. Sedangkan pada kelas kontrol peningkatannya tidak signifikan dari pre test 7,7 menjadi post test 8,5. Analisis statistik menggunakan uji mann whitney yang menunjukkan perbedaan yang signifikan (nilai signifikansi < 0,05) antara kedua kelompok. Kemudian uji wilcoxon dimana hasilnya 0,001< 0,05 yang berarti terdapat pengaruh penggunaan video interaktif dalam meningkatkan pemahaman siswa dalam pembelajaran. Kesimpulan penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan video interaktif efektif dalam meningkatkan pemahaman siswa tentang keanekaragaman flora dan fauna. Metode ini direkomendasikan sebagai alternatif pembelajaran yang dapat diterapkan namun perlu dikaji atau ditingkatkan lagi agar relevan di sekolah dasar lainnya. This study aims to analyze the effect of using interactive videos in improving the understanding of grade V elementary school of Sepang about the diversity of flora and fauna in the territory of Indonesia. The problem behind this research is the low level of student understanding of biodiversity material, which is caused by the level of internet utilization, conventional learning methods that are less interesting and limitations in observing flora and fauna directly. This study used a quasi experimental design method with a quantitative approach. The research sample consisted of 41 fifth grade students divided into two groups: experimental class and control class with a total population of 81 students. The experimental class was given learning using interactive videos, while the control class used conventional methods. Data collection was conducted through pre-test and post-test, as well as documentation study. The results showed a significant increase in students' understanding using interactive videos. The average post-test score of the experimental class reached 8.4 which in the pre-test obtained an average result of 4.4. While in the control class the increase was not significant from the pre test 7.7 to the post test 8.5. Statistical analysis using the mann whitney test showed a significant difference (significance value <0.05) between the two groups. Then the Wilcoxon test where the results are 0.001 <0.05 which means that there is an effect of using interactive videos in improving student understanding in learning. The conclusion of this study shows that the use of interactive videos is effective in improving students' understanding of flora and fauna diversity. This method is recommended as an alternative learning that can be applied but needs to be studied or improved to be relevant in other elementary schools.
