    Abstract

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis motivasi belajar pendidikan jasmani siswa SMA ditinjau dari jenis kelamin. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif untuk menggali pengalaman mereka lebih mendalam. Penelitian dilaksanakan di SMAN 1 Cileungsi, subjek penelitian terdiri dari 21 partisipan, yaitu 10 siswa laki-laki, 10 siswa perempuan dari kelas X, dan 1 guru PJOK yang dipilih dengan teknik purposive sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data meliputi observasi, wawancara semistruktur, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data dilakukan secara deskriptif induktif, dengan melalui tahap reduksi, penyajian, dan penarikan kesimpulan untuk mengidentifikasi pola dan hubungan yang relevan dalam data. Keabsahan data diuji dengan triangulasi sumber. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa siswa laki-laki memiliki motivasi belajar yang lebih tinggi dibandingkan siswa perempuan. Faktor internal, seperti minat dan persepsi, serta faktor eksternal, seperti dukungan lingkungan, memengaruhi tingkat motivasi siswa. Selain itu, siswa laki-laki lebih terlibat dalam aktivitas kompetitif, sedangkan siswa perempuan cenderung menyukai kegiatan rekreatif. Guru memiliki peran strategis dalam menciptakan pendekatan pembelajaran yang inklusif dan menarik. Temuan ini diharapkan menjadi bahan evaluasi untuk meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa dalam pendidikan jasmani.
    This study aims to analyze high school students' physical education learning motivation in terms of gender. This study used a descriptive qualitative approach to explore their experiences more deeply. The research was conducted at SMAN 1 Cileungsi, the research subjects consisted of 21 participants, namely 10 male students, 10 female students from class X, and 1 PJOK teacher selected by purposive sampling technique. Data collection techniques included observation, semistructured interviews, and documentation. Data analysis was carried out descriptively inductively, by going through the stages of reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing to identify relevant patterns and relationships in the data. Data validity was tested with source triangulation. The results showed that male students have higher learning motivation than female students. Internal factors, such as interest and perception, as well as external factors, such as environmental support, influence students' motivation levels. In addition, male students are more involved in competitive activities, while female students tend to favor recreational activities. Teachers have a strategic role in creating inclusive and engaging learning approaches. The findings are expected to be evaluated to improve students' learning motivation in physical education.
