Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran Write Arround berbantuan media gambar seri digital terhadap keterampilan menulis karangan narasi siswa SD. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kuasi eksperimen dengan menggunakan desain pretest-posttest control group. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari dua kelas, yaitu kelas eksperimen yang menggunakan model Write Arround berbantuan media gambar seri digital berbasis Canva, dan kelas kontrol yang menggunakan model Problem Based Learning (PBL). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa model Write Arround berbantuan media gambar seri digital terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan keterampilan menulis karangan narasi siswa. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan peningkatan skor rata-rata dari 7,2 pada pretes menjadi 18,3 pada postes di kelas eksperimen, sementara kelas kontrol hanya mencapai 13,6 pada postes. Uji statistik juga menunjukkan adanya perbedaan yang signifikan antara kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol, dengan model Write Arround memberikan pengaruh yang lebih besar terhadap keterampilan menulis siswa. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan model pembelajaran inovatif berbantuan media digital, khususnya gambar digital berbasis Canva, dapat menjadi solusi efektif untuk meningkatkan keterampilan literasi siswa, terutama dalam menulis karangan narasi. ----- This study aims to examine the effect of the Write Arround learning model assisted by digital image media on students' narrative writing skills in elementary school. This experimental research used a pretest-posttest control group design. The subjects were two classes: the experimental class, which used the Write Arround model assisted by digital image media based on Canva, and the control class, which applied the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model. The results show that the Write Arround model assisted by digital image media is effective in improving students' narrative writing skills. This is evident from the average score increase from 7.2 in the pretest to 18.3 in the posttest in the experimental class, while the control class only reached 13.6 in the posttest. Statistical tests also showed a significant difference between the experimental and control classes, with the Write Arround model having a greater impact on students' writing skills. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that the use of an innovative learning model assisted by digital media, specifically Canva-based digital images, can be an effective solution to enhance students' literacy skills, particularly in narrative writing.
