Abstract
Penelitian ini berfokus pada pengembangan Website “Art Sensei Academy” sebagai sarana untuk meningkatkan kompetensi teknis mata kuliah Ilustrasi Digital bagi mahasiswa Desain Komunikasi Visual Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah merancang, mengembangkan, dan mengimplementasikan Website pembelajaran yang efektif untuk meningkatkan keterampilan teknis siswa dalam bidang ilustrasi digital. Penelitian ini dilakukan karena adanya kebutuhan akan metode pembelajaran yang lebih interaktif dan efektif untuk mengajarkan keterampilan teknis bidang ilustrasi digital yang masih menghadapi berbagai tantangan dalam proses pembelajaran. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan metode campuran, yang menggabungkan data kualitatif dan kuantitatif untuk memberikan gambaran yang komprehensif. Model ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) berlaku untuk desain dan implementasi Website. Metode penelitian meliputi wawancara mendalam dengan dosen dan mahasiswa, observasi partisipan, dan analisis dokumen untuk mengidentifikasi kebutuhan dan tantangan pembelajaran. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, penulis merancang dan mengembangkan situs web serta mengadakan pelatihan bagi instruktur dan siswa tentang cara menggunakan situs web. Efektivitas situs web akan dievaluasi melalui tes sebelum dan sesudah serta survei persepsi mahasiswa. Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Website Akademi DKV UPI berhasil memenuhi kebutuhan pembelajaran dan mengatasi tantangan terkait. Hasil post-test menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan teknis siswa dalam bidang ilustrasi digital meningkat secara signifikan. Respon siswa terhadap Website ini juga sangat positif, hal ini menunjukkan bahwa Website ini efektif dan membantu dalam menunjang pembelajaran ilustrasi digital. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi signifikan terhadap pengembangan metode pembelajaran digital dan memberikan rekomendasi praktis untuk penerapan teknologi pendidikan masa depan yang lebih baik. This research focuses on developing the "Art Sensei Academy" Website as a means to improve the technical competence of Digital Illustration courses for Visual Communication Design students at the Indonesian University of Education. The aim of this research is to design, develop and implement an effective learning Website to improve students' technical skills in the field of digital illustration. This research was conducted because of the need for more interactive and effective learning methods to teach technical skills in the field of digital illustration which still faces various challenges in the learning process. This research uses a mixed methods approach, combining qualitative and quantitative data to provide a comprehensive picture. The ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) model applies to Website design and implementation. Research methods include in-depth interviews with lecturers and students, participant observation, and document analysis to identify learning needs and challenges. Based on these results, the author designed and developed a Website and provided training for instructors and students on how to use the Website. The effectiveness of the Website will be evaluated through pre- and post-tests and student perception surveys. Research shows that the UPI DKV Academy Website is successful in meeting learning needs and overcoming related challenges. The post test results showed that students' technical abilities in the field of digital illustration increased significantly. Student responses to this Website are also very positive, this shows that this Website is effective and helpful in supporting digital illustration learning. This research makes a significant contribution to the development of digital learning methods and provides practical recommendations for better future implementation of educational technology.
