Abstract
Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh fungsi lahan sebagai sumberdaya yang dapat dimanfaatkan secara optimal bagi kehidupan manusia. Pertanian rambutan merupakan salah satu pemanfaatan sumberdaya lahan yang dilakukan. Potensi Pertanian rambutan di Kecamatan Palasah cukup menjanjikan dikarenakan adanya peningkatan jumlah produksi setiap tahun, namun jumlah produktifitasnya masih tidak berimbang dengan luas tanam yang ada saat ini. Perbaikan lahan diharapakan mampu untuk lebih mengoptimalkan hasil panen sehingga dapat membantu masyarakat petani dalam meningkatkan pendapatnya. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengatahui faktor-faktor pembatas lahan pertanian rambutan di Kecamatan Palasah dan memetakan kelas kesesuaian lahan aktual dan potensial untuk tanaman rambutan dengan mengevaluasi kesesuaian lahan tanaman rambutan berdasarkan variabel yang terdiri dari karakteristik lahan dan persyaratan tumbuh optimal tanaman rambutan. Metode yang digunakan adalah Metode Survei yang berguna untuk mengetahui bagaimana karakteristik daerah penelitian yang kemudian di cocokan dengan persyaratan tumbuh optimal tanaman rambutan dengan tujuan untuk mendapatkan data dasar yang diperlukan untuk penelitian lebih lanjut ataupun sebagai dasar untuk membuat suatu keputusan. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh lahan pertanian kering di Kecamatan Palasah dengan mengambil sampel berupa sampel wilayah yang ditentukan berdasarkan peta satuan lahan. Hasil dari analisis menunjukan bahwa terdapat beberapa jenis kelas kesesuaian lahan untuk pertanian rambutan di Kecamatan Palasah yaitu sebagai berikut: sampel 1 (S2rf) cukup sesuai, sampel 2 (S2rs) cukup sesuai, sampel 3(Nr) tidak sesuai, sampel 4 (S3fns) cukup sesuai dan sampel 5 (S2r) sangat sesuai dengan faktor-faktor pembatas lahan yang beragam seperti media perakaran, resistensi hara, bahaya erosi, ketersediaan hara dan kelerengan. Faktor-faktor tersebut dapat dikurangi dengan cara perbaikan lahan. Setelah dilakukan upaya perbaikan, maka terdapat perubahan yang disebut dengan kesesuaian lahan potensial. kesesuaian lahan potensial pada daerah penelitian yang berada pada tingkat sesuai (S1) yaitu pada unit lanan 2, kemudian pada tingkat cukup sesuai (S2) yaitu pada unit lahan 1 dan 5, lalu pada tingkat sesuai marginal (S3) yaitu unit lahan 4 dan sisanya pada tingkat kesesuaian yang tidak sesuai (N) yaitu pada unit lahan 3. Kata kunci : “Kesesuaian Lahan, Tanaman Rambutan” This research is motivated by the land use as a resource that can be utilized optimally for human life. Agriculture Hairy Fruit is one of the utilization of land resources committed. Potential Agriculture in Sub Palasah Hairy Fruit is promising due to the increase in the number of production each year, but the number of productivity is still not comparable with the acreage available today. Land improvement is expected able to further optimize the crop so as to help the farmers in improving their opinions. The purpose of this study is to know the limiting factors of agricultural land in the District Palasah Hairy Fruit and map land suitability classes of actual and potential for Hairy Fruit to evaluate land suitability Hairy Fruit based variable consisting of land characteristics and optimal growing conditions Hairy Fruit. The method used is a survey method that is useful to know how the characteristics of the study area are then matched with optimum growing conditions Hairy Fruit with the aim to obtain basic data needed for further research or as a basis for making a decision. The population in this study were all dry agricultural land in the District Palasah by taking samples in the sample area is determined based on a map of land units. Results of the analysis showed that there are several types of agricultural land suitability classes for Hairy Fruit in District Palasah are as follows: sample 1 (S2rf) is quite appropriate, sample 2 (S2rs) is quite appropriate, sample 3 (Nr) is not appropriate, sample 4 (S3fns) reasonably fit and sample 5 (S2r) is in accordance with the limiting factors such diverse fields rooting media, nutrient resistance, erosion, nutrient availability and slope. These factors can be reduced by improving the land. After the improvement, then there is a change in the so-called potential land suitability. potential land suitability in the area of research that is at the appropriate level (S1) is the unit LANAN 2, then the level is quite appropriate (S2) that is on land units 1 and 5, and at the appropriate marginal rate (S3) is the unit 4 and the remaining land at the level of conformity is not suitable (N) is the land unit 3.
