Abstract

Penelitian ini didasarkan pada rendahnya motivasi siswa dalam mempelajari Tembang Macapat akibat metode pembelajaran yang monoton dan kurang menarik. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menganalisis dan mendeskripsikan pengaruh penggunaan media virtual tour berbantuan Millealab terhadap peningkatan motivasi belajar siswa aspek kognitif, penampilan diri, dan kemajuan diri pada materi Tembang Macapat. Penelitian menggunakan metode kuasi eksperimen dengan nonequivalent control group design, melibatkan dua kelas IX di SMPN 2 Majenang, yang berperan sebagai kelompok eksperimen dan kelompok kontrol. Pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner motivasi belajar yang diberikan sebelum dan sesudah perlakuan. Data yang dikumpulkan dianalisis dengan uji normalitas teknik Shapiro Wilk, uji homogenitas teknik Levene’s Test, dan uji hipotesis dengan teknik independent sample t-test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan media virtual tour berbantuan Millealab berpengaruh secara signifikan meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa pada materi Tembang Macapat. Ini dibuktikan dengan hasil uji hipotesis yang menunjukkan adanya perbedaan yang signifikan antara motivasi belajar menggunakan media Millealab dengan motivasi belajar menggunakan media konvensional, di mana pada kelompok eksperimen mengalami peningkatan yang lebih besar. Hasil ini memberikan temuan baru, di mana media virtual tour berbantuan Millealab mampu meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa secara signifikan dalam mempelajari materi Tembang Macapat. Implikasi penelitian ini yaitu penggunaan media virtual tour berbantuan Millealab dapat menjadi alternatif pembelajaran yang inovatif dan efektif bagi guru dalam menumbuhkan motivasi belajar siswa. This research is based on the low motivation of students in learning Tembang Macapat due to monotonous and uninteresting learning methods. The purpose of this study is to analyze and describe the effect of using virtual tour media assisted by Millealab on increasing student learning motivation in cognitive motives, self-expression, and self-enhancement on Tembang Macapat material. The research used a quasi-experimental method with a nonequivalent control group design, involving two ninth grade classes at SMPN 2 Majenang, which served as the experimental and control groups. Data collection used a learning motivation questionnaire given before and after treatment. The data collected were analyzed with the normality test of Shapiro Wilk technique, homogeneity test of Levene's Test technique, and hypothesis testing with independent sample t-test technique. The results showed that the use of virtual tour media assisted by Millealab had a significant effect on increasing student learning motivation on Tembang Macapat material. This is evidenced by the results of the hypothesis test which shows a significant difference between learning motivation using Millealab media and learning motivation using conventional media, where the experimental group experienced a greater increase. These results provide new findings, where the virtual tour media assisted by Millealab is able to significantly increase student learning motivation in learning Tembang Macapat material. The implication of this research is that the use of virtual tour media assisted by Millealab can be an innovative and effective learning alternative for teachers in fostering student learning motivation.
