Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi karena belum optimalnya pembinaan karakter toleransi di KB Hidayatul Awaliyah yang berpengaruh terhadap pemahaman dan karakter toleransi anak. Metode cerita islami menggunakan paper doll berpeluang untuk meningkatan karakter dan pemahaman toleransi anak, karena metode cerita islami menggunakan paper doll mempunyai daya tarik pada anak dalam memperhatikan apa yang disampaikan sehingga anak akan mudah memahami tentang nilai toleransi. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh metode cerita islami menggunakan paper doll dalam membina karakter toleransi anak. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif. dengan metode penelitian eksperimen desain yang digunakan yaitu pre-eksperimen one-group pretest-posttest. Populasi dan sampel pada penelitian ini yaitu kelas B anak usia 5-6 tahun di KB Hidayatul Awaliyah yang berjumlah sembilan orang.Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu berupa lembar observasi dengan instruemen yang telah di validasi. Analisis data yang digunakan yaitu analisis deskriptif dan analisis statistik yang berupa data kuantitatif menggunakan program aplikasi Microsoft Excell 2021 dan program SPSS 27. Hasil penilaian karakter dan pemahaman toleransi anak pada saat pretest berada pada rata-rata 20,00, sedangkan hasil pada rata-rata posttest berada pada rata rata 29,56. Berdasarkan hasil yang diperoleh, maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa metode cerita islami menggunakan paper doll memberikan pengaruh terhadap karakter toleransi anak usia 5-6 tahun di KB Hidayatul Awaliyah. This research was motivated by the lack of optimal development of the character of tolerance at play group Hidayatul Awaliyah, which had an impact on children's understanding and character of tolerance. The Islamic story method using paper dolls has the opportunity to improve children's character and understanding of tolerance, because the Islamic story method using paper dolls has an attraction for children to pay attention to what is being said so that children will easily understand the value of tolerance. The aim of this research is to determine the effect of the Islamic story method using paper dolls in developing children's tolerant character. This study uses a quantitative approach. with the design experimental research method used, namely pre-experiment one-group pretest-posttest. The population and sample in this study were class B children aged 5-6 years at play group Hidayatul Awaliyah, totaling nine people. The data collection technique used was in the form of an observation sheet with validated instruments. The data analysis used is descriptive analysis and statistical analysis in the form of quantitative data using the Microsoft Excel 2021 application program and the SPSS 27 program. The results of character assessment and understanding of children's tolerance during the pretest were on average 20,00, while the results were on average posttest was at an average of 29,56. Based on the results obtained, it can be concluded that the Islamic story method using paper dolls has an influence in developing the character of tolerance in children aged 5-6 years at the Hidayatul Awaliyah Play group.
