Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi bahwa media gambar cetak berpeluang diimplementasikan dalam pembelajaran menulis teks deskripsi. Hal ini didukung oleh capaian pembelajaran pada fase B kelas IV yakni peserta didik mampu menulis teks narasi, teks deskripsi, teks rekon, teks prosedur dan teks eksposisi dengan rangkaian kalimat yang beragam, informasi yang rinci dan akurat dengan topik yang beragam. Namun, setelah melakukan studi pendahuluan, hal tersebut belum sesuai dengan tuntutan kurikulum dan belum dibuktikan sehingga penelitian ini difokuskan untuk mengujikan dan mencari pengaruh penggunaan media gambar cetak di jenjang sekolah dasar. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh media gambar cetak terhadap keterampilan menulis teks deskripsi peserta didik kelas IV SDN Sukajaya. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode pre-eksperimental jenis one group pretest-posttest design. Populasi pada penelitian ini yaitu seluruh peserta didik kelas IV SDN Sukajaya berjumlah 29. Untuk sampel yang digunakan yakni teknik sampel jenuh, jadi sampel yang digunakan seluruh peserta didik kelas IV SDN Sukajaya berjumlah 29. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan melakukan tes non objektif berupa menulis teks deskripsi. Adapun teknik analisis data akan dilakukan melalui analisis deskriptif dan analisis inferensial meliputi uji normalitas, uji hipotesis dan uji N-Gain. Hipotesis dari penelitian ini yakni Ha: terdapat pengaruh penggunaan media gambar cetak terhadap keterampilan menulis teks deskripsi. H0: tidak terdapat pengaruh penggunaan media gambar cetak terhadap keterampilan menulis teks deskripsi. This research is entitled "The influence of the use of printed image media on the skills of writing descriptive text in Grade IV Elementary School" based on the fact that printed image media has the opportunity to be implemented in learning to write descriptive text. This is supported by the learning achievements in phase B class IV, namely that students are able to write narrative texts, descriptive texts, recon texts, procedural texts and exposition texts with a variety of sentence sequences, detailed and accurate information on various topics. However, after conducting a preliminary study, this was not in accordance with curriculum demands and had not been proven, so this research was focused on testing and finding the effect of using printed image media at the elementary school level. The aim of this research is to determine the effect of printed image media on the descriptive text writing skills of class IV students at SDN Sukajaya. The type of research used is quantitative research with a pre-experimental method, one group pretest-posttest design. The population in this study was all 29 class IV students at SDN Sukajaya. The sample used was a saturated sampling technique, so the sample used was all class IV students at SDN Sukajaya totaling 29. The data collection technique was carried out by carrying out a non objective test in the form of writing text. description. The data analysis technique will be carried out through descriptive analysis and inferential analysis including normality test, hypothesis test and N-Gain test. The hypothesis of this research is Ha: there is an influence of the use of printed image media on descriptive text writing skills. H0: There is no effect of using printed image media on descriptive text writing skills.
