Abstract

Bahasa mengiringi perkembangan zaman dan teknologi bukan hanya sebagai alat komunikasi tetapi juga sebagai media kreativitas. Memaksimalkan bahasa sebagai media kreativitas dapat dilakukan dengan dukungan pendidikan yang sesuai perkembangan zaman. Misalnya melalui bahan ajar yang berbasis teknologi yang dapat meningkatkan keilmuan dan kreativitas peserta didik. Berdasarkan hal tersebut penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan proses pengembangan modul digital membaca teks biografi berancangan ICARE (Introduction, Connection, Application, Reflection, dan Extension)yang bermuatan industri kreatif ditinjau dari kebutuhan hingga respons dari pengguna. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini merupakan metode penemgembangan dengan pendekatan4D (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate). Produk yang dihasilkan dalam penelitian ini adalah modul digital berupa website yang memuat materi teks biografi tokoh industri kreatif dengan ancangan ICARE. Produk dihasilkan berdasarkan kebutuhan pendidik dan peserta didik yang menyebutkan bahwa modul digital lebih menarik digunakan dibandingkan dengan modul cetak. Proses pengembangan modul digital juga melalui proses uji kelayakan dari para ahli. Hasil pengembangan modul digital melalui uji coba berupa tes membaca pemahaman kepada siswa SMA di Kota Bandung memeroleh hasil signifikan dalam meningkatkan keterampilan membaca siswa. Modul digital yang berbentuk website juga mendapatkan repons yang positif dari pengguna yakni guru dan siswa sehingga dapat disebarluaskan. Language accompanies the development of the times and technology not only as a means of communication but also as a medium of creativity. Maximizing language as a medium of creativity can be done with the support of education, which is achieved through the development of the times, for example, through technology-based teaching materials that can improve the knowledge and creativity of students. Based on this, this study aims to describe the process of developing a digital module for reading biographical texts designed by ICARE (Introduction, Connection, Application, Reflection, and Extension) which contains creative industries reviewed from the needs to the responses of use user's responses in this study is a development method with a 4D approach (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate). The product produced in this study is a digital module in the form of a website containing biographical text material of creative industry figures with the ICARE design. The product is produced based on the needs of educators and students who state that digital modules are more interesting to use than printed modules. Developing digital modules also goes through a feasibility test process from experts. The results of developing digital modules through trials in the form of reading comprehension tests for high school students in Bandung City obtained significant results in improving students' reading skills. The digital module in the form of a website also received a positive response from users, namely teachers and students so that it can be disseminated.
