Abstract
Kurangnya stimulasi mendengar bahasa mengakibatkan siswa tunarungu mengalami kesulitan dalam menunjukkan subjek, predikat, objek, dan keterangan serta kesulitan dalam menyusun kalimat dengan struktur yang tepat sehingga berdampak terhadap pesan yang disampaikan saat melakukan komunikasi di mana pesan yang disampaikan sulit dipahami dan memungkinkan adanya kesalahpahaman. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan pada pemahaman pola kalimat SPOK dengan menerapkan media pembelajaran sentence scramble game Wordwall pada siswa tunarungu tingkat SMA berinisial CH di SLB Negeri Sukapura. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Single Subject Research (SSR) dengan desain penelitian A-B-A. Berdasarkan hasil baseline-1 (A1) menunjukkan bahwa pemahaman siswa terkait pola kalimat SPOK masih rendah ditunjukkan dengan perolehan skor rata-rata yaitu sebesar 20,80%, sedangkan ketika diberikan perlakuan pada tahap intervensi (B) dengan menggunakan media pembelajaran sentence scramble game Wordwall rata-rata skor yang diperoleh mulai meningkat yaitu menjadi sebesar 56,25%, adapun pada tahap terakhir yaitu baseline-2 (A2) terlihat adanya peningkatan yang signifikan pada pemahaman pola kalimat SPOK, ditunjukkan dengan perolehan rata-rata skor yang meningkat menjadi sebesar 73,61%. Maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan media pembelajaran sentence scramble game Wordwall dapat meningkatkan pemahaman pola kalimat SPOK pada subjek CH. Melalui media sentence scramble game Wordwall CH dapat menunjukkan apa itu subjek, predikat, objek, dan keterangan pada suatu kalimat, serta mampu menyusun kalimat dengan pola SPOK. Hasil penelitian ini dapat menjadi masukan bagi pendidik sebagai alternatif media pembelajaran yang menyenangkan bagi siswa tunarungu. The lack of auditory language stimulation results in deaf students having difficulty identifying subjects, verb, objects, and adverb, as well as struggling to construct sentences with correct structure. This issue impacts the clarity of communication, making the conveyed message difficult to understand and increasing the likelihood of misunderstandings. This study aims to assess the improvement in understanding SPOK sentence patterns by implementing the Sentence Scramble Game Wordwall as a learning medium for a deaf high school student, identified as CH, at SLB Negeri Sukapura. The research method used was Single Subject Research (SSR) with an A-B-A design. The results from the first baseline (A1) indicated that the student's understanding of SVOAsentence structure was still low, with an average score of 20.80%. However, during the intervention phase (B), where the Sentence Scramble Game Wordwall was applied, the average score began to increase to 56.25%. In the final phase, the second baseline (A2), there was a significant improvement in understanding SVOA sentence structure, with the average score rising to 73.61%. It can be concluded that the application of the Sentence Scramble Game Wordwall significantly improves the understanding of SVOA sentence structure in the subject CH. Through the use of this learning medium, CH was able to identify subjects, verb, objects, and adverbial in sentences and effectively construct sentences following the SVOA structure. The findings of this study can serve as valuable input for educators as an alternative, engaging learning medium for deaf students.
