Abstract
Penelitian bertujuan untuk menjelaskan implementasi moderasi beragama dalam bingkai Pendidikan Multikultural di Pondok Pesantren Darul Arqam Garut. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh fakta bahwa Indonesia adalah negara multikultural. Dalam konsep multikultural terdapat teori multikulturalisme dan pluralisme dan dalam teori pluralisme terdapat berbagai keberagaman, salah satunya keberagaman agama. Keberagaman agama dapat memicu konflik antar umat agama yang dapat menjadi awal mula disintegrasi bangsa. Moderasi beragama hadir sebagai sikap atau cara pandang beragama yang menjunjung tinggi nilai esensial dalam beragama yakni kebenaran, keadilan dan keseimbangan. Moderasi beragama menjadi bagian dari watak kewarganegaraan (civic disposition) karena dengan sikap moderasi, warga negara akan turut serta menjaga kesatuan dan persatuan Negara Indonesia. Pondok Pesantren Darul Arqam dipilih karena hasil observasi pra penelitian yang menyatakan bahwa ponpes ini cenderung modern dan banyak menyelenggarakan program yang menunjang nilai-nilai esensial dalam beragama seperti kebenaran, keadilan dan keseimbangan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode penelitian studi kasus. Teknik pengumpulan data yang dipilih adalah wawancara, observasi dan studi dokumentasi. Penelitian ini menghasilkan implementasi moderasi beragama di Pondok Pesantren Darul Arqam Muhammadiyah Garut hadir dalam kurikulum kepengasuhan yang mengandung 4 indikator moderasi beragama yakni Komitmen Kebangsaan, Toleransi, Anti kekerasan dan Akomodatif terhadap Budaya Lokal The study aims to explain the implementation of religious moderation within the framework of Multicultural Education at the Darul Arqam Garut Islamic Boarding School. This study is motivated by the fact that Indonesia is a multicultural country. In the concept of multiculturalism, there are theories of multiculturalism and pluralism and in the theory of pluralism there are various diversities, one of which is religious diversity. Religious diversity can trigger conflicts between religious communities which can be the beginning of national disintegration. Religious moderation is present as an attitude or perspective on religion that upholds essential values in religion, namely truth, justice and balance. Religious moderation is part of the character of citizenship (civic disposition) because with a moderate attitude, citizens will participate in maintaining the unity of the Republic of Indonesia. The Darul Arqam Islamic Boarding School was chosen because the results of pre-research observations stated that this Islamic boarding school tends to be modern and organizes many programs that support essential values in religion such as truth, justice and balance. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study research method. The data collection techniques chosen were interviews, observations and documentation studies. This study resulted in the implementation of religious moderation at the Darul Arqam Muhammadiyah Garut Islamic Boarding School which is present in the care curriculum which contains 4 indicators of religious moderation, namely National Commitment, Tolerance, Anti-violence and Accommodation to Local Culture.
