Abstract

Kebijakan implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka di seluruh jenjang pendidikan dasar dan menengah saat ini berfokus pada konsep pembelajaran terdiferensiasi. Namun berdasarkan hasil temuan yang menjadi realitas di lapangan kebanyakan guru masih kurang dapat menciptakan suatu iklim pembelajaran yang berorientasi terhadap potensi dan kebutuhan belajar siswa. Hal ini berdampak terhadap rendahnya motivasi belajar dan juga kemampuan belajarnya ditinjau dari ranah kognitif. Diperlukan suatu inovasi pembelajaran terutama terkait pemilihan metode yang tepat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh Metode VAKS (Visual, Auditory, Kinesthetic, Suggestopedia) terhadap motivasi dan hasil belajar kognitif siswa. Penelitian ini dilakukan menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode Quasi Eksperimen Tipe Noneequivalent Control Group Desin. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas V SD di Desa Legok Kaler Kecamatan Paseh, Kabupaten Sumedang dengan sampel yaitu SDN Legok I sebagai kelas eksperimen dan SDN Cileuksa sebagai kelas kontrol. Hasil penelitian uji-t diperoleh nilai hitung p-value (sig-2 tailed) 0,009 < 0,05 dan (sig- 2 tailed) 0,000 < 0,05 sehingga hipotesis yang diterima H1 artinya metode VAKS (Visual, Auditory, Kinesthetic, Suggestopedia) berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap motivasi dan hasil belajar kognitif siswa. Kemudian hasil penelitian menunjukan ada hubungan positif antara motivasi dan hasil belajar kognitif siswa dibuktikan dengan nilai hitung p-value (sig-2 tailed) 0,026 < 0,05 sehingga H1 diterima. Sangat diharapkan jika metode VAKS (Visual, Auditory, Kinesthetic, Suggestopedia) dapat diterapkan oleh para guru dalam pembelajaran di sekolah sebagai alternatif metode pembelajaran yang relevan dengan kurikulum merdeka. Hal ini bertujuan agar terciptanya iklim pembelajaran aktif dan menyenangkan sehingga dapat berdampak baik bagi optimalisasi pembelajaran. The current policy of implementing the Merdeka Curriculum at all levels of primary and secondary education focuses on the concept of differentiated learning. However, based on the findings that are the reality in the field, most teachers are still unable to create a learning climate that is oriented towards students' learning potential and needs. This has an impact on low learning motivation and also learning abilities in terms of the cognitive domain. A learning innovation is needed, especially related to the selection of the right method. This study aims to determine the effect of the VAKS Method (Visual, Auditory, Kinesthetic, Suggestopedia) on student motivation and cognitive learning outcomes. This research was conducted using a quantitative approach with the method of Quasi Experiment Type Noneequivalent Control Group Design. The population in this study were all fifth grade elementary school students in Legok Kaler Village, Paseh District, Sumedang Regency with samples, namely SDN Legok I as the experimental class and SDN Cileuksa as the control class. The results of the t-test research obtained a calculated value of p-value (sig-2 tailed) 0.009 <0.05 and (sig- 2 tailed) 0.000 <0.05 so that the hypothesis accepted H1 means that the VAKS method (Visual, Auditory, Kinesthetic, Suggestopedia) has a positive and significant effect on student motivation and cognitive learning outcomes. Then the results showed that there is a positive relationship between motivation and students' cognitive learning outcomes as evidenced by the calculated value of p-value (sig-2 tailed) 0.026 <0.05 so that H1 is accepted. It is highly expected that the VAKS (Visual, Auditory, Kinesthetic, Suggestopedia) method can be applied by teachers in learning at school as an alternative learning method that is relevant to the independent curriculum. This aims to create an active and fun learning climate so that it can have a good impact on optimizing learning.
