Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kurangnya proses pembelajaran berdasarkan kebutuhan belajar peserta didik yang mengakibatkan rendahnya kemampuan menggunakan tatakrama bahasa Sunda pada peserta didik. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan penerapan strategi pembelajaran diferensiasi dan strategi pembelajaran konvensional dalam meningkatkan kemampuan menggunakan tatakrama bahasa Sunda. Metode yang digunakan studi eksperimen dengan pendekatan kuantitatif menggunakan desain pretest-posttest control group design. Teknik yang digunakan merupakan Teknik tes dan angket kepada siswa kelas VII SMPN 1 Pangandaran tahun ajaran 2023-2024 yang berjumlah 64 siswa. Hasil dari penelitian ini yaitu (1) kemampuan menggunakan tatakrama bahasa Sunda siswa sebelum menggunakan strategi pembelajaran diferensiasi termasuk kedalam katagori kurang dengan rata-rata nilai 62,13, setelah menggunakan strategi pembelajaran diferensiasi termasuk kedalam katagori baik dengan rata-rata nilai 80,22; (2) kemempuan menggunakan tatakrama bahasa Sunda siswa sebelum menggunakan strategi pembelajaran konvensional termasuk kedalam katagori kurang dengan rata-rata nilai 60,81, setelah menggunakan strategi pembelajaran konvensional termasuk kedalam katagori kurang dengan rata-rata nilai 66,19; (3) berdasarkan hasil uji hipotesis yaitu nilai signifikansi Sig 0,000 < 0,05, H0 ditolak dan Ha diterima. Artinya ada beda yang signifikan meningkatnya kemampuan menggunakan tatakrama bahasa Sunda siswa yang menggunakan strategi pembelajaran diferensiasi dan strategi pembelajaran konvensional; (4) peserta didik lebih mudah memahami pembelajaran tatakrama bahasa Sunda menggunakan strategi pembelajaran diferensiasi dengan jawaban setuju (53%) dan sangat setuju (41%) Kata Kunci: konvensional, strategi pembelajaran diferensiasi, tatakrama bahasa Sunda. This research was motivated by the lack of a learning process based on students' learning needs which resulted in students' low ability to use Sundanese language etiquette. The aim of this research is to describe the application of differentiation learning strategies and conventional learning strategies in improving the ability to use Sundanese language etiquette. The method used is an experimental study with a quantitative approach using a pretest-posttest control group design. The technique used was a test and questionnaire technique for class VII students at SMPN 1 Pangandaran for the 2023-2024 academic year, totaling 64 students. The results of this research are (1) the students' ability to use Sundanese language etiquette before using the differentiation learning strategy is included in the poor category with an average score of 62.13, after using the differentiation learning strategy it is included in the good category with an average score of 80.22; (2) students' ability to use Sundanese language etiquette before using conventional learning strategies is included in the poor category with an average score of 60.81, after using conventional learning strategies it is included in the poor category with an average score of 66.19; (3) based on the results of the hypothesis test, namely the significance value of Sig 0.000 < 0.05, H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. This means that there is a significant difference in the increase in the ability to use Sundanese language etiquette for students who use differentiation learning strategies and conventional learning strategies; (4) students more easily understand Sundanese language etiquette learning using differentiation learning strategies with answers of agree (53%) and strongly agree (41%) Keywords: conventional, differentiation learning strategy, Sundanese language manners.
