Abstract

Fenomena putus sekolah di kalangan remaja khususnya di Indonesia, masih menjadi tantangan serius hingga saat ini. Wisdom dipahami bukan hanya sebagai keputusan yang diambil oleh seseorang, tetapi juga melibatkan pemahaman mendalam tentang alasan dan pertimbangan yang mendasari pengambilan keputusan tersebut, yaitu dengan memerhatikan dampak positifnya terhadap berbagai pihak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memahami sumber pengembangan wisdom pada remaja putus sekolah serta bagaimana dinamika wisdom mereka dalam menerapkan dan mengembangkannya melalui tantangan yang dihadapi. Alasan dilaksanakannya penelitian ini adalah karena remaja putus sekolah seringkali menghadapi berbagai kesulitan dan tantangan hidup yang kompleks. Selanjutnya, pemahaman tentang bagaimana mereka mampu menggunakan dan mengembangkan wisdom juga dapat memberikan wawasan berharga untuk intervensi yang lebih efektif. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan fenomenologi. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara mendalam (in depth-interview) semi-terstruktur terhadap tiga orang remaja putus sekolah di kota Bandung. Proses analisis melibatkan identifikasi tema-tema utama dari transkrip wawancara untuk mengungkap makna pengalaman para partisipan. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sumber pengembangan wisdom pada remaja putus sekolah didorong faktor perasaan tidak mampu, tekanan ekonomi, dan konflik sosial. Selanjutnya, pemanfaatan wisdom pada remaja putus sekolah dalam penelitian ini belum sepenuhnya tergambar melalui cara mereka dalam mengatasi tantangan dan konflik. Meskipun beberapa remaja menunjukkan pemanfaatan wisdom dalam kondisi tertentu, kecenderungan mereka lebih fokus pada mencari solusi agar dapat bertahan dalam situasi sulit. Pengembangan wisdom pada remaja putus sekolah juga diperoleh melalui pembelajaran yang mereka sadari dari berbagai aktivitas sosial pengalaman sehari-hari. Kata kunci: wisdom, bijaksana, remaja putus sekolah. The phenomenon of dropping out of school among teenagers, especially in Indonesia, is still a serious challenge today. Wisdom is understood not only as a decision taken by a person, but also involves a deep understanding of the reasons and considerations underlying the decision, namely by paying attention to the positive impact on various parties. This research aims to understand the sources of wisdom development in out-of-school teenagers and the dynamics of their wisdom in applying and developing it through the challenges they face. The reason for carrying out this research is because teenagers who have dropped out of school often face various difficulties and complex life challenges. Furthermore, understanding how they are able to use and develop wisdom can also provide valuable insights for more effective interventions. This research uses a qualitative research method with a phenomenological approach. Data collection was carried out through semi-structured in-depth interviews with three teenagers who had dropped out of school in the city of Bandung. The analysis process involved identifying key themes from interview transcripts to reveal the meaning of participants' experiences. Research findings show that the source of wisdom development in out-of-school teenagers is driven by feelings of inadequacy, economic pressure and social conflict. Furthermore, the use of wisdom among out-of-school teenagers in this research has not been fully reflected in their way of overcoming challenges and conflicts. Although some teenagers show the use of wisdom in certain conditions, their tendency is to focus more on finding solutions to survive difficult situations. The development of wisdom in out-of-school teenagers is also obtained through learning that they realize from various social activities and daily experiences.
