    Abstract

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh social comparison terhadap body image pada remaja perempuan pengguna aplikasi tiktok di Indonesia. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kuantitatif dengan partisipan berjumlah 387 remaja perempuan yang menggunakan aplikasi tiktok di Indonesia. Instrumen penelitian ini menggunakan Upward and Downward physical appearance comparisons (UDPAC) untuk mengukur social comparison dan The Multidimensional Body-Self Relations Questionnaire-AS (MBSRQ-AS) untuk mengukur body image. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah korelasi regresi sederhana dengan menggunakan software IMB SPSS Statistic 25. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa social comparison memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap body image remaja perempuan yang menggunakan aplikasi tiktok sebesar 25,8% dengan arah pengaruh negatif.

    This study aims to determine the effect of social comparison on body image among female teenagers using the Tiktok application in Indonesian. The research method used is a quantitative method with 387 female teenagers used the Tiktok application in Indonesian as participants. The instruments in this study used the Upward and Downward physical appearance comparisons (UDPAC) to measure social comparison and the Multidimensional Body-Self Relations Questionnaire-AS (MBSRQ-AS) to measure body image. The data analysis technique used in this study was simple regression correlation using the IMB SPSS Statistic 25 software. The results showed that social comparison had a significant effect on the body image of female teenagers used the Tiktok application survivors by 25.8% with the direction negative effect.
