Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh beberapa permasalahan yang ditemukan peneliti dalam proses pembelajaran IPA. Permasalahan yang ditemukan peneliti bahwa siswa kurang antusias terhadap materi yang diajarkan oleh guru, sehingga siswa tidak dapat menganalisis jawaban dengan baik. Hal tersebut dapat dilihat dari data awal yang diperoleh peneliti bahwa rata-rata kemampuan analisis siswa sebesar 32,75. Salah satu upaya yang dilakukan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan analisis siswa dengan menerapkan metode demonstrasi. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah: (1) mengetahui pelaksanaan penerapan metode demonstrasi melalui media aerogenerator sederhana pada pembelajaran IPA materi energi alternatif, dan (2) mengetahui peningkatan kemampuan analisis siswa setelah diterapkan metode demonstrasi melalui media aerogenerator sederhana. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas yang diadaptasi dari model Kemmis dan Mc. Taggart yang terdiri dari tahapan perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, dan refleksi. Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh yaitu, nilai rata-rata kemampuan analisis siswa pada siklus I sebesar 69,5. Peningkatan kemampuan analisis dari pra siklus ke siklus I ini jika dipersentasekan sebesar 86,7 %. Sedangkan pada siklus II, nilai rata-rata kemampuan analisis siswa meningkat menjadi 84,8. Peningkatan kemampuan analisis dari siklus I ke siklus II ini jika dipersentasekan sebesar 93,3 %. Simpulan dari penelitian yaitu pelaksanaan pembelajaran mengalami peningkatan setelah diterapkan metode demonstrasi melalui media aerogenerator sederhana. Kemampuan analisis siswa mengalami peningkatan setelah diterapkan metode demonstrasi melalui media aerogenerator sederhana. Hal ini dapat terlihat dari nilai rata-rata kemampuan analisis setiap siklusnya. Oleh karena itu, penerapan metode demonstrasi melalui media aerogenerator sederhana dapat menjadi formula yang tepat dalam meningkatan kemampuan analisis siswa. This background research is made by some of the problems which found in the process of learning SCIENCE. Researchers found that the problems that students are less enthusiastic about the material being taught by the teacher, so students can not analyze the answers properly. It can be seen from the preliminary data obtained researchers that the average student of 32,75 analysis capabilities. One of the efforts made to improve the ability of students by applying the methods of analysis of the demonstration. The purpose of this research is: (1) to figure out the application of demonstration method implementation through the aerogenerator media on learning simple IPA alternative energy, material and (2) to know the increased analysis capabilities of students after the demonstration aerogenerator method through simple media. This research is a class action research adapted from models of Kemmis and Mc. Taggart which consists of the stages of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The research results obtained such as mean value analysis capabilities of students in cycle I of 69.5. Analysis capabilities Increased of pre cycle to cycle this if cycle I presented of 86,7%. While in cycle II, the average value of analysis capabilities of students increased to 84.8. The analysis capabilities increased of the cycle I to cycle II whereas presented amount with 93,3%.The conclusion of the research is the implementation of learning has increased after the demonstration method applied through simple aerogenerator media. Students experience increased analysis capabilities after the demonstration method applied through simple aerogenerator media. This can be seen from the average value of each cycle analysis capabilities. Therefore, the application of demonstration method through the medium of a simple formula can be an aerogenerator right in to improve the analysis capabilities of students.
