Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi dari hasil temuan di lapangan yang menunjukkan kurangnya pemanfaatan media pembelajaran interaktif dalam pembelajaran IPS kelas IV di sekolah dasar, khususnya pada materi keberagaman budaya bangsaku. Kondisi ini menyebabkan siswa mudah merasa bosan dan kurang tertarik, yang berdampak pada rendahnya pemahaman siswa terhadap materi tersebut. Untuk mengatasi permasalahan ini, penelitian ini melakukan pengembangan media E-Book KEDASA sebagai solusi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu mix methods (Research and Development (R&D) dan Pra-Eksperimen), dengan menggunakan model pengembangan ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). Teknik pengumpulan data penelitian meliputi wawancara, angket, dan tes. Penelitian ini menghasilkan produk multimedia pembelajaran berupa E-Book bernama KEDASA (Keberagaman Budaya Bangsa) yang memuat pembelajaran IPS kelas IV SD/MI materi keberagaman budaya bangsaku dengan proses pengembangan berbantuan website Heyzine Flipbook. Media E-Book KEDASA divalidasi oleh oleh ahli media, ahli materi, dan ahli bahasa, dengan hasil validasi keseluruhan memperoleh persentase sebesar 94,04% yang dikategorikan “sangat layak”, sehingga produk tersebut dapat diuji coba kepada siswa kelas IV sebagai pengguna. Uji coba kepraktikkan meliputi uji coba perorangan, uji coba kelompok kecil, dan uji coba kelompok besar, dengan perolehan rata-rata persentase sebesar 94,89% yang dikategorikan“sangat layak”, sehingga media dapat digunakan dalam kegiatan pembelajaran. Uji efektivitas dengan menggunakan desain One Group Pretest-Posttest Design menunjukkan nilai sig. 0,000 < 0,05, diartikan bahwa hasil Pretest dan Posttest memiliki perbedaan rata-rata dan adanya peningkatan pemahaman siswa setelah mempelajari materi keberagaman budaya bangsaku dengan menggunakan media E-Book KEDASA. Besar peningkatan pemahaman dihitung dengan uji N-Gain dengan perolehan hasil 0,6823 (68,23%) dengan kategori “sedang”. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, maka media E-Book KEDASA dinyatakan cukup efektif untuk digunakan dalam pembelajaran IPS di sekolah dasar. Kata Kunci: E-Book, Pengembangan, Keberagaman Budaya, Pemahaman Siswa This research is motivated by the findings in the field that show the lack of utilization of interactive learning media in social studies class IV in elementary schools, especially on the material of the cultural diversity of my nation. This condition causes students to easily feel bored and less interested, which has an impact on students' low understanding of the material. To overcome this problem, this study developed KEDASA E-Book media as a solution. The research method used is mixed methods (Research and Development (R&D) and Pre-Experiment), using the ADDIE development model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). The research data collection techniques include interviews, questionnaires, and tests. This research produces a learning multimedia product in the form of an E-Book called KEDASA (keberagaman budaya bangsa) which contains social studies learning for grade IV SD / MI material on the diversity of the culture of my nation with the development process assisted by the Heyzine Flipbook website. KEDASA E-Book media is validated by media experts, material experts, and linguists, with the overall validation results obtaining a percentage of 94.04%, categorized as ‘very feasible’ so that the product can be tested on grade IV students as users. Practical trials include individual trials, small group trials, and large group trials, with an average percentage of 94.89% categorized as ‘very feasible’, so that the media can be used in learning activities. The effectiveness test using the One Group Pretest-Posttest Design showed a sig value. 0.000 < 0.05, meaning that the Pretest and post-test results have an average difference and there is an increase in student understanding after studying the material on the diversity of the cultures of my nation using the KEDASA E-Book media. The magnitude of the increase in understanding was calculated by the N-Gain test with the results of 0.6823 (68.23%) in the ‘medium’ category. Based on the results of the study, the media E-Book KEDASA was declared effective enough to be used in learning social studies in elementary schools.
