Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh permasalahan yang dialami siswa kelas V SDN Cisalasih dalam pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia materi menulis puisi bebas. Permasalahan tersebut didasari oleh kesulitan siswa dalam menuangkan ide ke dalam bentuk puisi bebas. Nilai rata-rata siswa adalah 57,5 masih berada dibawah KKM yang ditetapkan yaitu 60. Guna menjawab permasalahan tersebut, maka dilakukan penelitian tindakan kelas untuk meningkatkan kemampuan menulis puisi bebas. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah: (1) mengungkapkan proses pembelajaran dengan menerapkan metode field trip pada materi puisi bebas, (2) mengungkapkan peningkatan kemampuan menulis puisi bebas setelah penerapan metode field trip. Penelitian ini dilakukan melalui empat tahapan yang merupakan adaptasi dari model Kemmis dan Mc.Taggart (dalam Mariahani, 2013), yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, dan refleksi. Penelitian dilaksanakan sebanyak dua siklus. Siklus I perolehan nilai rata-rata siswa adalah 65,7 dengan persentase ketuntasan belajar 59%. Pada siklus II nilai rata-rata siswa adalah 72,8 dengan persentase ketuntasan belajar 100%. Data tersebut menunjukkan penerapan metode field trip pada pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia dapat meningkatkan kemampuan menulis puisi bebas pada kelas V SDN Cisalasih. Simpulan dari penelitian ini adalah perencanaan pembelajaran diawali dengan penyusunan RPP, dan instrumen penelitian. Proses pembelajaran dilakukan sesuai dengan langkah-langkah metode field trip yaitu persiapan, pelaksanaan field trip, dan kembali dari field trip. Pada siklus I kegiatan menulis puisi bebas dilakukan di lokasi field trip tetapi karena terdapat berbagai kesulitan maka di siklus II kegiatan menulis puisi bebas dilakukan di dalam kelas setelah pulang dari field trip sehingga situasi pembelajaran menjadi lebih kondusif. Kemampuan menulis puisi bebas siswa dapat meningkat setelah dilakukan penerapan metode field trip. Maka disarankan kepada guru kelas untuk menerapkan metode field trip dengan memperhatikan perencanaan yang sangat matang. This research is motivated by problems which is experienced by the fifth grade students of SDN Cisalasih in learning Indonesian material writing the free poetry. The problem is based on the student’s difficulties in expressing ideas to make a free poetry. The value of the student average was 57.5 and it was still below 60, the specified score. To answer these problems, then conducted Classroom Action Research (CAR) to improve writing free poetry ability. The purpose of this research are: (1) reveal the learning process by applying the field trip method in material free poetry, (2) reveal the increases of writing free poetry ability after the application of field trip method. This research was conducted through four stages which is adapted of Kemmis and Mc.Taggart models (in Mariahani, 2013). They are including the planning, acting, observation, and reflecting. This research was conducted in two cycles. In the first cycle, value of the students average was 65.7 with a percentage of 59% learning completeness. In the second cycle, value of the students average was 72.8 with a percentage of 100% learning completeness. Based on the results of these data, the application of field trip method in Indonesian learning can increase the writing free poetry ability in the fifth grade students of SDN Cisalasih. Conclusions from this research is the learning plan begins with the preparation of lesson plans and research instruments. The learning process was accordance with the method measures of field trip method, they are preparation, implementation of field trip, and returning from the field trip. In the first cycle, writing the free poetry activities was implemented at the site of the field trip but because there were so many difficulties, so in the second cycle of writing the free poetry activities was implemented in the classroom after returning from the field trip, so that the learning situation becomes more conducive. The writing free poetry ability of students can be increased after the application of the field trip method. However, it was still need to be improved, especially in regarding the elements of taste in the free poetry. Then recommended for the further research to consider the elements of taste in poetry which can be seen through the free choice of words in poetry by the students.
