Self-compassion plays a crucial role in the psychological well-being of individuals, especially for students in early adulthood. During this stage, undergraduate students often encounter academic challenges and emotional changes that can affect their mental health. Therefore, it's important for undergraduate students to understand self-compassion, particularly concerning demographic factors like age and gender. Self-compassion involves being kind to oneself when dealing with failures or personal shortcomings. This study investigates the variations in self-compassion among undergraduate students based on demographic factors such as age and gender. Using a quantitative approach, survey method, and probability sampling technique, the research was conducted at the Program Studi Bimbingan dan Konseling Fakultas Ilmu Pendidikan, Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia, with students from the 2020-2023 cohorts. The instrument used in this study was the Self-compassion Scale (SCS) with a Likert scale model. The results indicate that undergraduate students generally exhibit high self-compassion, with no significant differences observed between male and female undergraduate students or across different age groups. These findings can be used to inform services aimed at maintaining high levels of self-compassion among students and to guide counseling and guidance services to enhance self-compassion in students with lower levels of self-compassion
