    Abstract

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh dari social connectedness dan social support terhadap stres akulturatif pada mahasiswa internasional di Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia. Dengan menggunakan metode kuantitatif korelasional dan teknik pengambilan sampel kuota, 62 mahasiswa internasional aktif di Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia menjadi subjek dalam penelitian ini. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Social Connectedness Scale-Revised (Lee dan Lee, 2001), Social Support Questionnaire (Bhocchiboya, 2017), dan Social, Attitudinal, Familial, Environmental Stress Scale (Mena, dkk., 1997). Hasil menunjukkan bahwa pada mahasiswa internasional di Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia, social connectedness memiliki pengaruh negatif terhadap stres akulturatif, sedangkan social support tidak memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan.

    The aim of this research is to examine the effect of social connectedness and social support on acculturative stress in international students in Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia. Using a correlational quantitative method and quota sampling, 62 active international students in Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia become the subject of this research. Measurement instruments used in this research are Social Connectedness Scale-Revised (Lee dan Lee, 2001), Social Support Questionnaire (Bhocchiboya, 2017), and Social, Attitudinal, Familial, Environmental Stress Scale (Mena, dkk., 1997). The result of this study shows that, in international students in Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia, social connectedness has a significant negative effect on acculturative stress, but social support does not have significant effect on acculturative stress.
