    Abstract

    Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh minimnya penggunaan media pembelajaran pada materi perkalian dan pembagian bilangan cacah di kelas IV sekolah dasar. Selama ini guru dominan menggunakan papan tulis, guru menyampaikan konsep secara abstrak dan meminta peserta didik menghafal perkalian dan pembagian. Peserta didik cenderung kurang aktif karena lebih sering memperhatikan penjelasan guru di papan tulis. Untuk itu perlu didukung dengan menggunakan media pembelajaran konkret, yaitu dakon yang dapat membantu menyampaikan materi perkalian dan pembagian bilangan cacah serta memungkinkan peserta didik terlibat aktif dalam proses belajar. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu menjelaskan proses pengembangan media dakon pada materi perkalian dan pembagian bilangan cacah di kelas IV sekolah dasar. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu Research and Development (R&D) dengan model ADDIE. Penelitian dilaksanakan di SDN 2 Katekan dengan melibatkan guru kelas dan 12 peserta didik kelas IV. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini adalah observasi, wawancara, studi dokumentasi, penilaian oleh para ahli, serta penilaian oleh guru dan peserta didik. Mengacu pada hasil validasi dari ahli materi, didapat nilai validitas 93% dengan kategori sangat layak. Hasil validasi ahli media diperoleh nilai validitas 96% dengan kategori sangat layak. Hasil respon guru terhadap media mendapat nilai kepraktisan 90% dengan kategori sangat praktis, sementara hasil respon peserta didik mendapat nilai kepraktisan 95% dengan kategori sangat praktis. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, dapat dikatakan bahwa media dakon sangat layak dan sangat praktis untuk diterapkan pada pembelajaran matematika materi perkalian dan pembagian bilangan cacah di kelas IV sekolah dasar.

    This research is motivated by the minimal use of learning media for teaching multiplication and division of whole numbers in fourth-grade elementary school classes. Until now, teachers have predominantly used blackboards, presenting concepts abstractly and asking students to memorize multiplication and division. Students tend to be less active because they often focus on the teacher’s explanations on the blackboard. Therefore, there is a need to support learning with concrete media, such as dakon, which can help convey the material on multiplication and division of whole numbers and enable students to actively engage in the learning process. The aim of this research is to explain the process of developing dakon media for teaching multiplication and division of whole numbers in fourth-grade elementary school classes. The research method used is Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE model. The study was conducted at SDN 2 Katekan, involving the classroom teacher and 12 fourth-grade students. Data collection techniques in this research include observation, interviews, document analysis, expert evaluations, and assessments by both teachers and students. According to the validation results from content experts, the media received a validity score of 93%, categorized as very feasible. Validation results from media experts showed a validity score of 96%, also categorized as very feasible. The teacher's response to the media indicated a practicality score of 90%, categorized as very practical, while the students’ responses showed a practicality score of 95%, also categorized as very practical. Based on the research findings, it can be concluded that dakon media is highly suitable and practical for use in teaching multiplication and division of whole numbers in fourth-grade elementary school classes.
