Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kurangnya pemahaman keluarga dalam memberikan upaya untuk mengoptimalkan kemampuan komunikasi pada Anak Dengan Gangguan Spektrum Autisme. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan program intervensi bersumberdaya keluarga untuk meningkatkan kemampuan komunikai pada Anak Autisme. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah keluarga yang memiliki Anak Autisme dan Anak Autisme berinisial R berusia 15 tahun yang memiliki hambatan dalam berkomunikasi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu observasi, wawancara, dan studi dokumentasi. Hasil dari penelitian ini menyatakan bahwa keluarga sudah memahami pola komunikasi yang tepat untuk R serta keluarga juga sudah memiliki kemampuan untuk melaksanakan program. Hasil penerapan program intervensi bersumberdaya keluarga yang dikembangkan dikatakan berhasil karena dapat dipahami dan diaplikasikan oleh keluarga secara mandiri di rumah, juga terlihat dari hasil pelaksanaan program dimana anak sudah mampu mengoptimalkan kemampuan komunikasi pada saat berkomunikasi dengan orang tua di rumah. This research was motivated by a lack of family understanding in providing efforts to optimize communication skills in children with Autism Spectrum Disorders. This research aims to develop a family-based intervention program to improve communication skills in children with autism. The subjects in this research were families who had children with autism and children with the initials R, aged 15 years, who had obstacles in communicating. The research method used in this research is a descriptive method with a qualitative approach. The data collection techniques used were observation, interviews and documentation studies. The results of this research state that the family already understands the appropriate communication patterns for R and the family also has the ability to implement the program. The results of the implementation of the family resource intervention program that was developed were said to be successful because it could be understood and applied by families independently at home. This can also be seen from the results of program implementation where children have been able to optimize their communication skills when communicating with their parents at home.
