Abstract
Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh masih adanya ketimpangan gender di Indonesia, yang tercermin dalam Global Gender Gap Report dari World Economic Forum tahun 2024, menempatkan Indonesia di peringkat 100 dari 146 negara. Kesetaraan gender adalah salah satu dari 17 Tujuan Pembangunan Berkelanjutan (SDGs). Dalam konteks pendidikan, sangat penting agar seluruh aspek kurikulum, termasuk proses pembelajaran, metode pengajaran, interaksi kelas, dan manajemen pembelajaran mengintegrasikan perspektif kesetaraan gender. Hal ini karena informasi yang diterima siswa dapat memengaruhi pandangan dan sikap mereka terhadap peran gender di keluarga dan masyarakat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan proporsi peran gender perempuan dalam teks narasi bahan ajar Kurikulum 2013 untuk mata pelajaran Bahasa Indonesia kelas IV SD. Metode analisis isi digunakan untuk mengkaji data, dengan sumber dari Buku Siswa Kelas IV SD/MI Semester I dan II Kurikulum 2013 terbitan Kementerian Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan Edisi Revisi 2017, yang mencakup cerpen, legenda, dongeng, dan biografi. Analisis menunjukkan bahwa teks narasi dalam bahan ajar didominasi oleh peran reproduktif dalam kalimat, diikuti oleh peran pengelolaan masyarakat dan peran produktif. Sementara itu, ilustrasi cenderung menonjolkan peran produktif, diikuti oleh peran reproduktif dan pengelolaan masyarakat. Tidak ada representasi peran politik dalam teks. Meskipun karakter perempuan sering kali menunjukkan peran produktif, pekerjaan atau aktivitas yang digambarkan kurang bervariasi dan tetap berfokus pada tugas-tugas lembut dan peran feminin. This study is motivated by the ongoing gender inequality in Indonesia, as reflected in the Global Gender Gap Report by the World Economic Forum for 2024, which ranks Indonesia 100th out of 146 countries. Gender equality is one of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). In the educational context, it is crucial for all aspects of the curriculum, such as the learning process, teaching methods, classroom interactions, and learning management to integrate a gender perspective. This is important because the information received by students can influence their views and attitudes towards gender roles in family and society. This study aims to describe the proportion of women gender roles in narrative texts from the 2013 Curriculum for Indonesian language in 4th grade elementary school. Content analysis was used as the method, sourced from the 4th grade IV Semester I and II textbooks of the 2013 Curriculum published by the Ministry of Education and Culture, Revised Edition 2017, which include short stories, legends, folktales, and biographies. The analysis reveals that the narrative texts are predominantly characterized by reproductive roles in sentences, followed by community management and productive roles. Meanwhile, illustrations tend to highlight productive roles, followed by reproductive and community management roles. There is no representation of political roles in the texts. Although female characters often display productive roles, the depicted activities are less varied and focus on soft, nurturing tasks, and other feminine characteristics.
