Abstract
Pemanasan global merupakan isu lingkungan krusial yang membutuhkan pemahaman yang baik dari masyarakat termasuk peserta didik. Namun, pemahaman peserta didik terhadap isu pemanasan global tergolong rendah. Hal tersebut diperkuat oleh temuan yang menunjukkan kemampuan environmental literacy peserta didik rendah. Masalah tersebut dapat terjadi salah satunya karena peserta didik kurang tertarik mendalami masalah lingkungan serta proses pembelajaran yang tidak mengaitkan isu lokal, global, dan prinsip ekologi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan e-modul topik pemanasan global berbasis socioe scientific issue (SSI) dan environmental literacy yang tervalidasi dan teruji aspek keterbacaannya. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Design Development Research (DDR) dengan tahapan (1) analisis kebutuhan (2) desain dan pengembangan, dan (3) evaluasi. Hasil analisis kebutuhan menunjukkan terdapat kebutuhan sumber belajar berupa e-modul sebagai upaya untuk menumbuhkan kemampuan environmental literacy melalui pendekatan SSI. E-modul yang dirancang memiliki struktur yang sistematis berdasarkan panduan penyusunan e-modul oleh Kemendikbud tahun 2017. Hasil validasi ahli menunjukkan e-modul memenuhi kriteria kelayakan dari aspek isi, verbal, dan visual, dengan beberapa saran perbaikan berupa perbaikan kata dan kalimat, serta penambahan konteks untuk melatih kemampuan environmental literacy. Hasil uji keterbacaan menunjukkan, e-modul yang dikembangkan memiliki tingkat keterbacaan sangat baik pada setiap topik, dengan rata-rata keseluruhan 85,03%. Respon peserta didik menunjukkan, e-modul yang dikembangkan mempunyai kategori sangat layak, dari aspek ketertarikan (87,81%), penyajian materi (88,33%), bahasa (89,06%), dan kemudahan (91,56%). Global warming is a crucial environmental issue that requires a good understanding from the community, including students. However, students’ understanding of the issue of global warming is low. This is reinforced by findings that show students' environmental literacy skills are low. The problem can occur partly because students are less interested in exploring environmental issues and the learning process that does not link local and global issues, and ecological principles. This research aims to produce e-modules on the topic of global warming based on socio-scientific issues (SSI) and environmental literacy that are validated and tested for readability aspects. The research method used is Design Development Research (DDR) with stages (1) needs analysis (2) design and development, and (3) evaluation. The results of the needs analysis showed that there was a need for learning resources in the form of e-modules as an effort to foster environmental literacy skills through the SSI approach. The e-module designed has a systematic structure based on the guidelines for preparing e-modules by Kemendikbud (2017). The results of expert validation show that the e-module meets the eligibility criteria from the aspects of content, verbal, and visual, with some suggestions for improvement in the form of word and sentence improvements, as well as the addition of context to train environmental literacy skills. The results of the readability test show that the developed e-module has a very good readability level on each topic, with an overall average 85.03%. Students' responses show that the developed e-module has very feasible category, from the aspects of interest (87.81%), presentation of material (88.33%), language (89.06%), and convenience (91.56%).
