Abstract
Keterampilan proses sains merupakan keterampilan yang perlu dimiliki peserta didik dalam pembelajaran fisika, namun terdapat banyak peserta didik belum optimal dalam keterampilan proses sains karena tidak dilatihkan selama pembelajaran. Penelitian berikut guna menyelidiki pembelajaran problem based learning berbantuan scaffolding dalam meningkatkan keterampilan proses sains peserta didik khususnya dalam materi gelombang berjalan dan gelombang stasioner. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kuantitatif dengan desain penelitian one group pretest-posttest design. Penelitian berikut mengikutsertakan 31 peserta didik kelas XI IPA dari sebuah SMA di Kota Sukabumi yang ditentukan memakai convenience sampling. Data peningkatan keterampilan proses sains dikumpulkan melalui tes keterampilan proses sains yang terdiri dari 12 soal pilihan jamak. Metode analisis data yang digunakan berupa uji N-Gain dan efektivitas penerapan problem based learning berbantuan scaffolding dianalisis berdasarkan hasil perhitungan effect size menggunakan formulasi Cohen’s d. Perolehan penelitian menampilkan peningkatan keterampilan proses sains peserta didik setelah diterapkan problem based learning berbantuan scaffolding dengan skor N-Gain sebesar 0,82 yang termasuk kategori tinggi. Selain itu, didapati penerapan problem based learning berbantuan scaffolding berpengaruh untuk meningkatkan keterampilan proses sains peserta didik dengan d value sebesar 3,04. Science process skills are skills that students need to have in physics learning, but there are many students who are not optimal in science process skills because they are not trained during learning. The following research is to investigate problem-based learning assisted by scaffolding in improving students' science process skills, especially in the material of traveling waves and stationary waves. The research method used is quantitative method with one group pretest-posttest design. The following study included 31 students of class XI IPA from a high school in Sukabumi City which was determined using convenience sampling. Data on the improvement of science process skills were collected through a science process skills test consisting of 12 multi-choice questions. The data analysis method used was the N-Gain test and the effectiveness of the application of problem-based learning assisted by scaffolding was analyzed based on the results of the effect size calculation using Cohen's d formulation. The results showed an increase in students' science process skills after the application of problem-based learning assisted by scaffolding with an N-Gain score of 0.82 which is included in the high category. In addition, it was found that the application of problem-based learning assisted by scaffolding had an effect on improving students' science process skills with a d value of 3.04.
