Abstract
This study aims to analyze the relationship between ecosystems and humans as reflected in the poetry anthology "Hujan Bulan Juni" by Sapardi Djoko Damono and to utilize the results of this analysis in the creation of educational comics. The analysis employs qualitative methods with a semiotic approach by Riffaterre and ecocriticism to explore the meanings of the relationship between nature and humans in these poems. The stages of Riffaterre's semiotic analysis include (1) conducting heuristic and hermeneutic readings; (2) identifying the indirectness of expression; (3) identifying the matrix, model, and variants; (4) identifying the hypogram. The analysis results show that 13 poems in this anthology depict a strong interconnection between humans and nature, emphasizing the harmony between human emotions and the ecosystem. The 13 poems include "Di Pemakaman," "Tentang Seorang Penjaga Kubur yang Mati," "Hujan Turun Sepanjang Jalan," "Ketika Jari-jari Bunga Terbuka," "Bunga-bunga di Halaman," "Cahaya Bertebaran," "Tentang Matahari," "Berjalan ke Barat Waktu Pagi Hari," "Di Kebun Binatang," "Bola Lampu," "Yang Fana adalah Waktu," "Angin, 3," and "Hujan Bulan Juni." Based on these findings, an educational comic was created to enhance teenagers' awareness and understanding of the relationship between nature and humans through literature.
