Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan bahan ajar digital fonetik bahasa Indonesia berancangan sound association bagi pemelajar BIPA Arab tingkat dasar. Ketersediaan bahan ajar khusus pelafalan untuk pembelajaran BIPA masih terbatas. Berdasarkan hasil wawancara dengan pengajar dan angket pemelajar BIPA, ditemukan bahwa pemelajar sering mengalami kesulitan melafalkan fonem-fonem bahasa Indonesia yang tidak terdapat dalam bahasa Arab. Hal ini menjadi latar belakang penelitian ini untuk mengembangkan bahan ajar pelafalan fonetik khusus untuk pemelajar BIPA dengan sound association antara kedua bahasa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Research and Development (R&D) dengan model pengembangan four-D (4D). Tahapan dalam pengembangan 4D, yaitu Define (pendefinisian), Design (perancangan), Development (pengembangan), dan Disseminate (penyebaran), dianggap paling sesuai untuk penelitian ini. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui penyebaran angket dan wawancara. Pada tahap awal, angket disebarkan kepada pemelajar BIPA dan wawancara dilakukan dengan pengajar BIPA untuk mengetahui kebutuhan bahan ajar pelafalan dan profil kemampuan pelafalan pemelajar. Berdasarkan profil tersebut, selanjutnya dilakukan perancangan model, desain awal produk, dan rancangan materi untuk pengembangan bahan ajar. Produk bahan ajar yang telah disusun kemudian divalidasi oleh ahli (expert judgement). Hasil validasi menunjukkan kategori "layak" dengan revisi. Produk yang telah direvisi kemudian diujicobakan kepada pemelajar BIPA tingkat dasar untuk mendapatkan data respons pengguna. Hasil respons pengguna menunjukkan kategori "sangat layak" atau mendapatkan respons yang positif. Produk bahan ajar digital yang dihasilkan berupa flipbook dengan fitur audio pelafalan dan gambar yang dapat diakses sesuai kebutuhan dengan penggunaan internet, sehingga dapat menjadi bahan ajar alternatif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan pelafalan bagi pemelajar BIPA penutur Arab tingkat dasar. This research aims to produce digital teaching materials for Indonesian phonetics with sound association design for basic level Arabic BIPA learners. The availability of special teaching materials for pronunciation for BIPA learning is still limited. Based on the results of interviews with teachers and questionnaires of BIPA learners, it was found that learners often have difficulty pronouncing Indonesian phonemes that are not found in Arabic. This is the background of this study to develop special phonetic pronunciation teaching materials for BIPA learners with sound association between the two languages. The research method used is Research and Development (R&D) with the four-D (4D) development model. The stages in 4D development, namely Define, Design, Development, and Disseminate, were considered the most appropriate for this study. Data collection was conducted through questionnaires and interviews. In the initial stage, questionnaires were distributed to BIPA learners and interviews were conducted with BIPA teachers to find out the needs of pronunciation teaching materials and the profile of learners' pronunciation skills. Based on this profile, the model design, initial product design, and material design for the development of teaching materials are then carried out. The teaching material products that have been prepared are then validated by expert judgment. The validation results showed a “feasible” category with revisions. The revised product was then tested on basic level BIPA learners to obtain user response data. The results of user responses show the category “very feasible” or get a positive response. The resulting digital teaching material product is a flipbook with audio features of pronunciation and images that can be accessed as needed with the use of the internet, so that it can be an alternative teaching material in improving pronunciation skills for basic level Arabic-speaking BIPA learners.
