Abstract

Program keterampilan vokasioanal sangat diperlukan bagi peserta didik berkebutuhan khusus karena menjadi bekal masa depannya. Program keterampilan vokasional seyogyanya mengedepankan potensi lokal yang dekat dengan lingkungan sekitar peserta didik tinggal. Pada prakteknya tentu membutuhkan kompetensi guru dalam mengelola pembelajaran dan mempertimbangkan model pembelajaran yang mampu mengakomodasi seluruh peserta didik dengan baik. Fenomena di lapangan menunjukkan masih banyak pembelajaran yang bersifat teacher oriented sehingga peserta didik cenderung pasif, khususnya peserta didik tunagrahita ringan, padahal tunagrahita ringan masih sangat berpotensi untuk dididik. Proses transfer ilmu bukan hanya antara guru dengan peserta didik, namun dapat juga melalui teman sebayanya, karena bagaimanapun peserta didik tunagrahita ringan harus tetap memenuhi kehidupan sosialnya sehingga dapat mendapatkan kesempatan dan pengalaman yang bermakna. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melakukan pengembangan program vokasional berbasis cooperative learning tipe STAD terhadap keterampilan peserta didik tunagrahita ringan jenjang SMALB di SLB Negeri Pangkalpinang dalam membuat tudung saji. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah mixed methods dengan desain exploratory sequential design. Pada data kualilatif, teknik pengumpulan data berupa wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi yang kemudian dianalisis melalui reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Sedangkan data kuantitatif menggunakan desain one group pretest-posttest design kemudian diuji dengan Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengembangan program cooperative learning tipe STAD dapat meningkatkan keterampilan membuat tudung saji pada subjek. Hal tersebut ditunjang dengan adanya interpersonal skill dan technical skill yang berkaitan dengan membuat tudung saji, serta kemampuan memecahkan masalah baik secara perorangan maupun kelompok. Implikasi dari studi menunjukkan bahwa pengembangan program vokasional berbasis cooperative learning tipe STAD dapat digunakan oleh peserta didik tunagrahita yang sejenis. Vocational skills programs are very necessary for students with special needs because they are provisions for their future. Vocational skills programs should prioritize local potential that is close to the environment where students live. In practice, it requires teacher competence in managing learning and considering learning models that can accommodate all students well. The phenomenon in the field shows that there is still a lot of teacher-oriented learning so that students tend to be passive, especially students with mild intellectual disability, even though they are still have great potential to be educated. The process of transferring knowledge is not only between teachers and students, but can also be through their peers, because in any case, students with mild intellectual disability must still fulfill their social life so that they can get meaningful opportunities and experiences. This study aims to develop a vocational program based on cooperative learning type STAD on the skills of students with mild intellectual disability at the SMALB level at SLB Negeri Pangkalpinang in making tudung saji. The research method used is mixed methods with an exploratory sequential design. In qualitative data, data collection techniques include interviews, observations, and documentation which are then analyzed through data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. While quantitative data uses a one group pretest-posttest design and is then tested with the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test. The results of the study indicate that the development of a STAD type cooperative learning program can improve the skills of making tudung saji in subjects. This is supported by the existence of interpersonal skills and technical skills related to making tudung saji, as well as the ability to solve problems both individually and in groups. The implications of the study indicate that the development of a vocational program based on cooperative learning type STAD can be used by students with intellectual disabilities of the same type.
