Najla Asqiya Naila, - (2024) EFEKTIVITAS READ ALOUD DALAM LITERACY CLOUD SEBAGAI PENGEMBANGAN BAHASA EKSPRESIF ANAK USIA DINI. S1 thesis, Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia.
Abstract
The aim of this research is to enhance children's expressive language skills by implementing the read aloud method in the Literacy Cloud platform to test its effectiveness. The methodology used is a quantitative approach with a pre-experimental design, specifically the one group pre-test post-test type, involving 15 samples. Data collection techniques include test sheets and observation sheets. Data analysis involves the Kolmogorov-Smirnov normality test, homogeneity test, paired sample t-test, and N-Gain test. The normality test results indicate that the pre-test and post-test data are normally distributed. The average N-Gain value of 0.505 falls into the medium category, with 2 children (13%) in the low N-Gain category, 10 children (67%) in the medium N-Gain category, and 3 children (20%) in the high N-Gain category. The paired sample t-test results show that the post-test scores are significantly higher than the pre-test scores (t (14) = -12.044, p < 0.001), indicating that the read aloud method in the Literacy Cloud is effective in improving expressive language skills in early childhood children. This study concludes that the read aloud method in the Literacy Cloud is an effective method for developing expressive language skills in early childhood children and is expected to contribute positively to early childhood education practices, particularly in language skills development.
