Abstract

Penguatan karakter peserta didik di zaman digital menjadi penting untuk dilakukan dalam poses pendidikan. Salah satunya yakni karakter cinta tanah air. Penguatan karakter cinta tanah air dapat dilakukan melalui kegiatan ekstrakurikuler sekolah. yang mengintegrasikan budaya lokalnya seperti angklung dan pencak silat. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk memperoleh deskripsi faktual program kegiatan ekstrakurikuler angklung dan pencak silat, pelaksanaan, dan dampaknya pada karakter cinta tanah air. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat rumusan program kegiatan ekstrakurikuler angklung dan pencak silat berdasarkan kebijakan pemerintah pusat maupun daerah, sesuai dengan visi sekolah, dan kurikulum sekolah. Dalam pelaksanaannya, sekolah tersebut berkolaborasi dengan pelatih yang memiliki keterampilan di bidangnya, proses kegiatan bertahap, menerapkan metode demonstrasi dan driil, menerapkan berbagai strategi yang berpusat kepada peserta didik, serta memperhatikan kondisi peserta didik. Kegiatan ekstrakurikuler tersebut memiliki dampak pada peserta didik yakni adanya perubahan tingkah laku dan pemahaman peserta didik tentang karakter cinta tanah air. Perubahan tersebut ditunjukkan dengan terampilnya peserta didik dalam memainkan angklung dengan berbagai teknik dan terampilnya peserta didik dalam melakukan gerakan dasar secara individu maupun kelompok. Karakter dominan yang muncul dari kegiatan ekstrakurikuler angklung yakni karakter harmonis, sedangkan karakter dari ekstrakurikuler pencak silat yakni karakter ketegasan. Kedua karakter tersebut merupakan bagian kecil dari karakter cinta tanah air. Strengthening the character of students in the digital age is important to do in the education process. One of them is the character of love for the country. Strengthening the character of patriotism can be done through extracurricular school activities that integrate local cultures such as angklung and pencak silat. The purpose of this study was to obtain a factual description of the angklung and pencak silat extracurricular activity programmes, their implementation, and their impact on the character of patriotism. This research uses descriptive qualitative methods. The results showed that there was a formulation of the angklung and pencak silat extracurricular activity programme based on central and regional government policies, in accordance with the school vision, and the school curriculum. In its implementation, the school collaborates with trainers who have skills in their fields, the activity process is gradual, applies demonstration and practice methods, applies various learner-centred strategies, and pays attention to the condition of the learners. These extracurricular activities have an impact on students, namely changes in behaviour and students' understanding of the character of love for the country. These changes are shown by the learners‘ skill in playing angklung with various techniques and the learners’ skill in performing basic movements individually and in groups. The dominant character that emerges from angklung extracurricular activities is harmonious character, while the character of pencak silat extracurricular activities is assertiveness character. Both characters are a small part of the character of love for the country.
