Abstract
Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh parental acceptance rejection terhadap fear of intimacy pada dewasa awal yang dimediasi oleh harga diri. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah metode kuantitatif dengan menggunakan teknik analisis data uji direct dan indirect effect, uji jalur hubungan dan uji sobel. Sampel penelitian ini terdiri dari 364 dewasa awal berusia 19 – 35 tahun yang sedang berpacaran. Hasil uji jalur hubungan menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh signifikan antara parental acceptance rejection terhadap fear of intimacy, terdapat pengaruh signifikan antara parental acceptance rejection terhadap harga diri, dan terdapat pengaruh signifikan antara harga diri terhadap fear of intimacy. Hasil dari uji indirect dan direct effect didapatkan bahwa harga diri memediasi parsial pengaruh parental acceptance rejection terhadap fear of intimacy. Selanjutnya, hasil dari uji sobel menunjukkan bahwa harga diri secara signifikan memediasi pengaruh parental acceptance rejection terhadap fear of intimacy. This research aims to determine the effect of parental acceptance rejection on fear of intimacy mediated by self esteem in early adulthood. The method used in this study is a quantitative method using direct and indirect effect, relation path, and sobel test. The sample of this study consisted of 364 early adults aged 19-35 years who were dating. The results of relation path show that there is a significant influence between parental acceptance rejection on fear of intimacy, there is a significant influence between parental acceptance rejection on self esteem, and there is a significant influence between self esteem on fear of intimacy. The results of the indirect and direct effect tests found that self esteem partially mediates the effect of parental acceptance rejection on fear of intimacy. Furthermore, the results of the sobel test show that self esteem significantly mediates the effect of parental acceptance rejection on fear of intimacy.
