Abstract

Penelitian dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa serta pembelajaran yang masih konvensional dan berpusat pada guru. Dengan ini, implementasi model pembelajaran yang menekankan keterlibatan aktif dan kontekstual siswa yang diintegrasikan dengan media pembelajaran interaktif sehingga menciptakan pembelajaran yang bermakna dan mendukung kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh implementasi model Contextual Teaching and Learning berbantu game Educaplay serta untuk melihat perbedaan kemampuan berpikir kritis dari implementasi model Contextual Teaching and Learning berbantu game Educaplay dan model Think Pair Share. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu kuasi eksperimen yang melibatkan kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan (1) terdapat pengaruh implementasi model Contextual Teaching and Learning berbantu game Educaplay terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis yang ditunjukkan oleh hasil uji paired sample t-test kelas eksperimen sebesar .001 yang artinya terdapat perubahan dari kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa sebelum dan sesudah perlakuan. (2) adanya perbedaan peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa terlihat dari rata-rata N-gain kelas eksperimen sebesar 0,7719 atau sebesar 77,19% sedangkan kelas kontrol sebesar 0,5616 atau 56,16% dan dibuktikan juga dari hasil uji independent t-test sebesar .001 sehingga terdapat perbedaan peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis antara implementasi model Contextual Teaching and Learning berbantu game Educaplay dengan kategori tinggi dan efektif diterapkan dalam pembelajaran sedangkan model Think Pair Share berada pada kategori sedang dan cukup efektif dalam pembelajaran. ------------ The study is motivated by the low critical thinking skills of students and the traditional, teacher-centered learning approach. Therefore, the implementation of a learning model that emphasizes active and contextual student engagement, integrated with interactive learning media, aims to create meaningful learning experiences and support students' critical thinking skills. This research aims to investigate the impact of implementing the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) model assisted by Educaplay games, as well as to examine the differences in critical thinking skills resulting from the implementation of the CTL model assisted by Educaplay games compared to the Think-Pair-Share model. The research method used is quasi-experimental, involving an experimental class and a control class. The results indicate (1) that the implementation of the Contextual Teaching and Learning model assisted by Educaplay games has a significant impact on critical thinking skills, as shown by the paired sample t-test result of .001 in the experimental class, indicating a change in students' critical thinking skills before and after the treatment. (2) the difference in the improvement of students' critical thinking skills is evident from the average N-gain in the experimental class of 0.7719 or 77.19%, while the control class achieved 0.5616 or 56.16%. This is further supported by the independent t-test result of .001, indicating a significant difference in the improvement of critical thinking skills between the implementation of the Contextual Teaching and Learning model assisted by Educaplay games, which falls under the high category and is effectively applied in learning, and the Think-Pair-Share model, which falls under the moderate category and is moderately effective in learning.
