Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh penemuan fenomena salah satunya terdapat pegawai yang latar belakang pendidikan tidak sesuai dengan jabatan sehingga menyebabkan pegawai tersebut kurang menguasai tugas dan fungsi secara optimal . Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk menganalisis pengaruh kompetensi pegawai terhadap kinerja pegawai di Dinas Pendidikan Kota Bandung. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yakni metode penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif dan teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan angket, dengan sampel sebanyak 54 responden. Untuk menganalisis perhitungan dibantu dengan Microsoft Excel 2016 dan IBM SPSS Statistics 26. Berdasarkan perhitungan kecenderungan umum dengan teknik perhitungan Weight Means Score (WMS), variabel kompetensi pegawai memperoleh skor 4,30 termasuk dalam kategori sangat baik, dan variabel kinerja pegawai memperoleh skor 4,23 termasuk dalam kategori sangat baik. Hasil perhitungan uji korelasi antara variabel X dan variabel Y didapatkan nilai sebesar 0,676 yang termasuk dalam kategori tingkat hubungan “kuat”. Hasil uji determinasi menunjukkan bahwa variabel X mempengaruhi 45,6% dari variabel Y dan sisanya dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain. Kemudian, hasil uji signifikansi korelasi (uji-t) menghasilkan 6,607 > 1,674 yang artinya ada pengaruh yang signifikan antara variabel X dan Variabel Y. Pada hasil analisis regresi diperoleh \hat{Y} = 17,087 + 0,660 X yang berarti setiap penambahan satu poin kompetensi pegawai maka akan meningkat pula kinerja pegawai sebesar 0,660. Simpulan dari penelitian ini adalah Kompetensi pegawai berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap Kinerja Pegawai di Dinas Pendidikan Kota Bandung. This research is motivated by the discovery of a phenomenon, one of which is that there are employees whose educational background does not match their position, causing these employees to lack optimal control of their duties and functions. The aim of this research is to analyze the influence of employee competency on employee performance at the Bandung City Education Office. The research method used is a descriptive research method with a quantitative approach and data collection techniques using questionnaires, with a sample of 54 respondents. To analyze the calculations, Microsoft Excel 2016 and IBM SPSS Statistics 26 were assisted. Based on general trend calculations using the Weight Means Score (WMS) calculation technique, the employee competency variable obtained a score of 4.30, including in the very good category, and the employee performance variable obtained a score of 4. 23 are included in the very good category. The results of the correlation test calculation between variable X and variable Y obtained a value of 0.676 which is included in the "strong" relationship level category. The results of the determination test show that variable X influences 45.6% of variable Y and the rest is influenced by other factors. Then, the results of the correlation significance test (t-test) produced 6.607 > 1.674, which means there is a significant influence between variable X and Variable Y. In the results of the regression analysis, \hat{Y} = 17,087 + 0,660X also employee performance was 0.660. The conclusion of this research is that employee competency has a positive and significant effect on employee performance at the Bandung City Education Office.
