Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tahapan pengembangan media pembelajaran Scratch, pencapaian pemahaman konsep serta respons siswa setelah belajar menggunakan media pembelajaran matematika menggunakan aplikasi Scratch pada materi bangun ruang sisi datar. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Research and Development (R&D) dengan prosedur pengembangan menggunakan model ADDIE yang mencakup Analysis (analisis), Design (desain), Development (pengembangan), Implementation (implementasi), dan Evaluation (evaluasi). Partisipan pada penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII di salah satu Sekolah Menengah Pertama (SMP) di Kota Bandung, Jawa Barat. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, pada tahap analisis ditemukan adanya siswa yang mengalami kesulitan dalam memahami materi bangun ruang sisi datar, kurangnya penggunaan media pembelajaran, dan terdapat siswa yang masih suka bermain serta kurang memiliki motivasi belajar. Pada tahap desain dilakukan penyusunan materi dan pembuatan Story board. Pada tahap pengembangan dilakukan pembuatan media sesuai dengan materi dan Story board serta dilakukan validasi oleh ahli materi, ahli media dan User Acceptance Testing dimana hasil validasi tersebut menunjukkan bahwa media yang telah dibuat dinyatakan layak digunakan. Pada tahap implementasi dilakukan uji coba media pembelajaran Scratch di Sekolah. Pada tahap evaluasi ditemukan setiap siswa mengalami peningkatan pemahaman konsep. Ketercapaian pemahaman konsep siswa setelah menggunakan media pembelajaran Scratch dikategorikan tinggi dengan persentase 71,4%. Selain itu siswa memberikan respons yang positif terhadap media pembelajaran Scratch. Tetapi media pembelajaran Scratch yang telah dibuat hanya terbatas pada luas permukaan bangun ruang sisi datar, oleh karena itu hendaknya peneliti selanjutnya mengembangkan media pembelajaran Scratch pada materi yang lebih luas. This research aims to determine the stages of development of the Scratch learning media, achieving understanding of the concept and students' responses after learning to use mathematics learning media using the Scratch application polyhedron material. This research uses the Research and Development (R&D) method with development procedures using the ADDIE model which includes Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation. Participants in this study were grade VII students at a Junior High School (SMP) in Bandung City. Based on the research results, at the analysis stage it was found that there were students who had difficulty understanding the polyhedron material, there was a lack of use of learning media, and there were students who still liked to play and lacked motivation to learn. At the design stage, material preparation and story board creation are carried out. At the development stage, media is created according to the material and story board and validation is carried out by material experts, media experts and User Acceptance Testing where the validation results show that the media that has been created is declared suitable for use. At the implementation stage, a trial of the Scratch learning media was carried out in schools. At the evaluation stage, it was found that each student experienced an increase in understanding of the concept. Students' achievement of conceptual understanding after using Scratch learning media is categorized as high with a percentage of 71.4%. Apart from that, students responded positively to the Scratch learning media. However, the Scratch learning media that has been created is only limited to the surface area of polyhedron, therefore future researchers should develop the Scratch learning media on broader material.
