Abstract

Program GLS merupakan program yang diberlakukan oleh Kementerian Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan untuk menumbuhkembangkan kemampuan literasi peserta didik di sekolah. Kemampuan literasi sangat perlu dikuasai oleh peserta didik sebagai bekal menghadapi abad 21, namun setelah adanya Covid-19 yang mengharuskan sekolah melaksanakan pembelajaran secara daring berdampak pada pelaksanaan program GLS, khususnya pada tahap pembiasaan yang kurang berjalan optimal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pelaksanaan pembiasaan GLS di 3 SD yang ada di Kota Tasikmalaya. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode analisis tematik. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pelaksanaan pembiasaan GLS di 3 SD yang ada di Kota Tasikmalaya sudah berjalan sesuai dengan langkah-langkah kegiatan program GLS pada tahap pembiasaan dan sudah memenuhi indikator keberhasilan pada tahap pembiasaan. Meskipun program GLS pada tahap pembiasaan sudah dilaksanakan di ketiga sekolah tersebut, namun pada pelaksanaannya masih terdapat beberapa kendala. Adapun kendala dalam pelaksanaan pembiasaan gerakan literasi di 3 SD yang ada di Kota Tasikmalaya, di antaranya yaitu: 1) bahan bacaan cerita kurang variatif; 2) minat membaca peserta didik rendah; dan 3) waktu yang tersedia sedikit. Ketiga SD yang ada di Kota Tasikmalaya telah menunjukkan keseriusan dalam mengatasi kendala-kendala yang ada dengan menerapkan solusi yang disesuaikan dengan kebutuhan sekolah, di antaranya yaitu: 1) memperbanyak bahan bacaan dari berbagai sumber; 2) memberikan motivasi positif tentang pentingnya membaca; 3) membuat target baca; dan 4) menjadwalkan kegiatan literasi setiap satu minggu sekali. The GLS program is a program implemented by the Ministry of Education and Culture to develop the literacy skills of students in schools. Literacy skills really need to be mastered by students as preparation for facing the 21st century, but after Covid-19, which required schools to carry out online learning, it had an impact on the implementation of the GLS program, especially at the habituation stage which was not running optimally. This research aims to describe the implementation of GLS training in 3 elementary schools in Tasikmalaya City. This research uses a qualitative approach with thematic analysis method. The data collection techniques used were observation, interviews and documentation. The results of the research show that the implementation of GLS habituation in 3 elementary schools in Tasikmalaya City has been running in accordance with the steps of the GLS program activities at the habituation stage and has met the indicators of success at the habituation stage. Even though the GLS program at the familiarization stage has been implemented in the three schools, there are still several obstacles in its implementation. The obstacles in implementing the literacy movement in 3 elementary schools in Tasikmalaya City include: 1) the story reading materials are not varied enough; 2) students' interest in reading is low; and 3) there is little time available. The three elementary schools in Tasikmalaya City have shown seriousness in overcoming existing obstacles by implementing solutions tailored to school needs, including: 1) increasing reading material from various sources; 2) provide positive motivation about the importance of reading; 3) create reading targets; and 4) schedule literacy activities once a week.
