Abstract

Pembelajaran menulis puisi dianggap sulit oleh peserta didik. Faktor utamanya disebabkan oleh keterbatasan kemampuan peserta didik dalam menuangkan ide dan gagasannya, dan keterbatasan kosa kata yang dimiliki untuk mengubah pemikirannya ke dalam bentuk puisi. Di samping itu, faktor lainnya disebabkan karena guru tidak pernah melakukan pembaharuan model pembelajaran. Model pembelajaran yang sering digunakan masih berupa pembelajaran konvensional. Sehingga penyampaian materi mengenai menulis puisi kurang tersampaikan secara maksimal dan peserta didik belum mampu mengembangkan potensinya secara optimal. Dari permasalahan tersebut, model pembelajaran RADEC dinilai mampu meningkatkan keterampilan menulis peserta didik, oleh karena itu penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkapkan ada atau tidaknya peningkatan penggunaan model pembelajaran RADEC terhadap keterampilan menulis puisi peserta didik. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian Pre-Experimental one group design. Penelitian ini melibatkan partisipan sebanyak 19 orang peserta didik kelas IV di SDN 1 Cikunir. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan sebanyak empat kali pertemuan. Hasil pretest menunjukan rata-rata skor yang diperoleh peserta didik adalah 41,73. Sedangkan hasil posttest memperoleh rata-rata sejumlah 55,42. Hasil uji wilcoxon menunjukan nilai signifikan 0,046 kurang dari batas signifikan 0,05. Artinya penggunaan model pembelajaran RADEC memberikan peningkatan yang signifikan terhadap keterampilan menulis puisi. Diperkuat dengan perolehan persentase skor N-Gain sebesar 57,89% dengan kriteria penggunaan model pembelajaran RADEC cukup efektif untuk digunakan dalam meningkatkan keterampilan menulis puisi peserta didik kelas IV di SDN 1 Cikunir. Learning to write poetry is considered difficult by students. The main factor is due to the learners' limited ability to express their ideas and thoughts, and their limited vocabulary to transform their thoughts into poetry. In addition, another factor is caused by the fact that the teacher has never renewed the learning model. The learning model that is often used is still conventional learning. So that the delivery of material about writing poetry is not maximally conveyed and students have not been able to develop their potential optimally. From these problems, the RADEC learning model is considered capable of improving students' writing skills, therefore this study aims to reveal whether or not there is an increase in the use of the RADEC learning model on students' poetry writing skills. This research is a Pre-Experimental one group design. This study involved participants as many as 19 fourth grade students at SDN 1 Cikunir. This research was conducted for four meetings. The pretest results showed that the average score obtained by students was 41.73. While the posttest results obtained an average of 55.42. The Wilcoxon test results show a significant value of 0.046 less than the 0.05 significant limit. This means that the use of the RADEC learning model provides a significant improvement in poetry writing skills. Reinforced by the acquisition of the percentage of the N-Gain score of 57.89% with the criteria for the use of the RADEC learning model is sufficient which is effective enough to be used in improving the poetry writing skills of class IV students at SDN 1 Cikunir.
