Abstract
Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kurangnya pengadaan dan pengembangan buku cerita bergambar bermuatan etnomatematika sebagai media pembelajaran matematika di Sekolah Dasar. Oleh karena itu, peneliti merancang dan mengembangkan buku cerita bergambar bermuatan etnomatematika agar dapat mendorong motivasi siswa dalam belajar dan mengenal budaya di lingkungan sekitar. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan proses pengembangan buku cerita bergambar bermuatan etnomatematika makanan tradisional Banyumas pada materi sifat – sifat bangun ruang di kelas V Sekolah Dasar. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu Research and Development (R&D) dengan menggunakan model pengembangan ADDIE. Pemerolehan data dalam penelitian ini dilakukan melalui kegiatan wawancara, observasi, studi dokumentasi, penilaian para ahli saat validasi produk, dan angket respons siswa serta guru pada saat uji coba. Hasil validasi para ahli, diperoleh sebesar 80% dari ahli materi dengan kriteria layak, 98,67% dari ahli desain dan layout dengan kriteria sangat layak, 88,75% dari ahli bahasa dan sastra Indonesia dengan kriteria sangat layak, dan 96% penilaian dari ahli etnomatematika dengan kriteria sangat layak. Hasil uji angket respons siswa terhadap buku cerita bergambar pada uji coba tahap I dan II mengalami peningkatan, dengan hasil 91,24% dan 92% pada kriteria sangat praktis. Sementara, angket respons guru sebesar 90,67% dan 93,33%. Dengan demikian, buku cerita bergambar bermuatan etnomatematika makanan tradisional Banyumas dinyatakan sangat valid dan sangat praktis digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran. This research is motivated by the lack of provision and development of illustrated storybooks with ethnomathematics content as a medium for teaching mathematics in elementary schools. Therefore, the researcher designed and developed illustrated storybooks with ethnomathematics content to encourage students' motivation to learn and to introduce them to the culture in their surroundings. The aim of this research is to describe the process of developing an illustrated storybook with ethnomathematics content on traditional Banyumas food for teaching the properties of geometric shapes in fifth-grade elementary school. The research method used is Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE development model. Data collection in this study was carried out through interviews, observations, documentation studies, expert assessments during product validation, and response questionnaires from students and teachers during the trials. The results of the expert validation showed 80% from material experts with a feasible criterion, 98.67% from design and layout experts with a highly feasible criterion, 88.75% from Indonesian language and literature experts with a highly feasible criterion, and 96% from ethnomathematics experts with a highly feasible criterion. The results of student response questionnaires to the illustrated storybooks in the first and second trial stages showed an increase, with results of 91.24% and 92% in the highly practical criterion. Meanwhile, the teacher response questionnaires showed 90.67% and 93.33%. Thus, the illustrated storybook with ethnomathematics content on traditional Banyumas food is considered highly valid and highly practical for use in the learning process.
