Abstract

Rendahnya pemahaman siswa kelas IV di SDN Cibeureum 2 terhadap konsep cara perpindahan panas pada subtema Pemanfaatan Energi disebabkan oleh kurangnya kemampuan guru dalam mengembangkan kegiatan pembelajaran yang menitikberatkan pada praktikum sehingga pemahaman siswa terhadap konsep tersebut cenderung verbalistis. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan LKS sebagai alat bantu dalam kegiatan pembelajaran tersebut. Pengembangan LKS ini menggunakan model pengembangan 4D yang dikemukakan oleh Thiagarajan. Model pengembangan 4D terdiri dari 4 tahap yaitu Define (Pendefinisian), Design (Perancangan), Develop (Pengembangan) dan Dissemination (Penyebaran). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa LKS yang dirancang menurut penilaian validasi ahli termasuk pada kategori sangat baik dengan presentase keidealan sebesar 83,2%. Sedangkan berdasarkan hasil respons siswa baik pada uji coba terbatas maupun luas berada pada kategori baik atau positif. Adapun berdasarkan data hasil belajar siswa, LKS yang digunakan berpengaruh pada peningkatan rata-rata hasil belajar siswa pada uji coba terbatas sebesar 33% dan pada uji coba luas sebesar 29%. Selain itu, jika dibandingkan dengan skala penilaian normal gain, maka besaran keefektifan LKS baik pada uji coba terbatas maupun uji coba luas termasuk ke dalam kategori cukup efektif.

Poor understanding of fourth grade students at SDN 2 Cibeureum the way the concept of heat transfer on the sub-theme of Energy Utilization caused by a lack of the ability of teachers to develop learning activities that focus on the lab so that students' understanding of these concepts tend verbalistis. Therefore, this study aims to develop a worksheet as a tool in the learning activities. Development of this worksheet using 4D model of development proposed by Thiagarajan. 4D development model consists of four stages: Define (definition), Design (Design), Develop (Development) and Dissemination (Deployment). The results showed that the worksheets are designed by expert validation assessment including the excellent category with a percentage of 83.2% ideals. While based on the responses of students either on a limited or extensive trials are in the category of good or positive. The student learning outcomes based on the data, which is used LKS affects the average increase student learning outcomes in a limited trial by 33% and the extensive testing by 29%. In addition, when compared with the normal grading scale gain, then the magnitude of the effectiveness of both the limited testing and extensive trials included in a category quite effective.
